Game was better with knockdowns. Yes, there were many issues with them but we got the worse option of a fix by their removal.

Totally agree. If the mediums and lights can go slamming into whatever they want and it's 'okay'. Then I want to punch them in the face with a metal fist as well as SRM's.

If they add Knockdown :)
I'd like to see some Melee Weapons.
How often have you been literally face to face with an enemy mech? *dreams*

Playing all weekend and this certainly isn't an issue for people that are good at light piloting. But still seeing little guys slamming into Assaults and just running away is really annoying.
