I can see that. Looks like Alpine, and I imagine the round almost lasted the full 15 minutes. Most of that time you were thinking "Why do I have so many people on much side hiding and refusing to engage? They do understand this is a combat game and not hide-and-seek?"

I was actually pleasantly surprised by my team...at first.

Most of them turned left at the beginning because our slow assaults were at the worst spawn, but there were 3 players who stubbornly refused to get off the hill.

I wish I had realized the majority of the enemy team had LRMs earlier, before most of my team pushed into the open away from the cover we had.

I put both PPCs in the left arm for convergence, as the right arm with the +30% CERPPC velocity only has 1 energy hardpoint.

Figured that would be the build, though the arm mounts on the left being the furthest from the cockpit really sucks...

2 C-ERPPCs....

......dead serious.

I fired A LOT.

Ah, 10 minutes...that is a lot of shooting.

Your 7 Terribads kind of hurt your odds...but they gave you a (possibly?) new personal record, so at least you've got that going for you.

I haven't even gotten 1500 in the PUG LIFE. The snowball falls too fast.

To be exact, 2012 damage with each salvo doing 30 (20 direct + 10 splash) would require approximately 68 shots fired...assuming every shot hits and every shot is fired within optimal range.

Shots outside of 890m (range module) and/or shots that missed would increase the minimum number of shots required. Also, shots that hit an arm or leg only deal 25 damage instead of 30 due to how the "splash" thingy works, which again means more than 68 shots needed.

If the PPC quirked right arm had 2 energy, it would be perfect, so it ended up being a toss between having the good right side poke with slower PPCs, or having a relatively bad left side poke with beautifully fast PPCs. I contemplated doing a symmetrical loadout, but since most of the shots require leading the target, that would have been a horrible choice.

first I thought that is a cw screenshot, very impressive.

And then video proof and while you are an excellent shot I still wonder why nobody shoots you the first 2/3 of the match. you just stand at the top of the ridge and it took like 5 minutes for the timby(?) to go after you... still, nice match. and that atlas at the end Posted Image

I didn't quite get why they weren't going after me either. I was even trying to be as annoying as possible to the missile boats on the hill, hoping they would take some of their attention off my teammates long enough for them to find some cover.

I was almost convinced the Atlas had run out of ammo, so when it fired an AC20 shot I was like, "Okay, I'll focus that side and hopefully crit out his AC20." Then he fired his SRMs and I knew it was over Posted Image

I think the real mystery for the match though, is whatever happened to that Arctic Cheetah? Surely it had enough time to reach where I was at before I went down. Was it all like, "Oh noz, muh leg..." and then go hobbling off in the winter wonderland?

Wow really nice round. I was half expecting you to have a LRM loadout with a bunch of bloated dmg. Much more worthy with the dual ERPPC loadout. I didn't even know the summoner could shoot ERPPCs with that velocity. I'm going to have to dig through my omnipods to figure out how to replicate that loadout.

sounds like #1st tier problems. I gotta say you did a good job at keeping the distance as well as leading your shots with the ppc. To me that did look like a fun math and you should be proud that you did that well despite the odds being against you.

To summarize the video, OP was on alpine peak and had open shots for his PPC for almost the entire game. For the second half of the game, he was by himself vs 5 mechs. He kills 3, legs 1, and does a pretty good number on the last guy, an atlas, who finally kills him.

Hey 400 dmg from a Mist Lynx? At least you had a little help! (I mean, very very little, but hey he carried his weight, lol!)

But yup. Usually I can determine "fate" in less than 2 minutes, just by the maneuvers and chatter on my team. Some times, the Opfor surprises me by being even less competent, but rarely.
