Fits within Russ Bullocks preferred timeline as production began in 2947 for the initial version. 70 tons is a good spot for a heavy mech, the most played class in the game. Its also a clean slate where PGI can create some custom variants that are different and welcome into the game.
Single mechpack as its a second line mech. Yay. Id buy it.
And it looks beautiful.....

They already have holes in their mech lineup and already have more heavy mechs then any other slot.
I imagine if we did get a one off pack, it would probably be a medium or assault mech.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure EVENTUALLY it will get in. But there are many more mechs that are probably better suited for the game at this point.

The amount of mechs that people desperately want in this game is less fun now, more depressing. Mostly because it means there's a much lower % chance of the mechs I want to get in to get in. Like the Bushwacker or Annihilator.

Also, Clans only have the Summoner at 70 tonnes. A second 70 tonner could be a good thing, especially a battlemech...
What do IS have at 70 tonnes? Grasshopper, Cataphract, Warhammer, and soon the Archer.

Really?! Hmmm. I think saturating the game with pointlessness and redundancy is more depressing. Probably just my fault for wanting depth in game play in lue of more stupid mechs.

I don't believe it! I thought every pre-3055 Clan mech not already in MWO looked like this roboderp.

I love my Clan mechs. I really do. For me, the Timberwolf is almost as an iconic image to me as the Warhammer... but the Viper was always fugly. It's pretty awful. And since it's not a very good mech for MWO, we might never have to see this thing in the game.

As mediums & heavy mechs are the most played having more options in those categories is always good.
