This is from the March Road map:

New Pilot Model
[color=#00FFFF]Pretty self-explanatory, an update to the old pilot model has been on the agenda for some time now. You can check out an early look at the new model on [/color]our Instagram.[color=#00FFFF] This first model will be male, but we’re intending to follow up with a female model in a future patch. Further plans are to eventually provide a distinct uniform for Clan and IS, and to allow for color changes[/color]

I'd like to mention I made a thread a couple months ago about purchasable customization for our pilots and Pgi is going to give it to us for free.

Ah my good Arisen.. we should be happy that at least, they are doing it.. Maaaybe, just maybe they do some of the other stuff the two of us have suggested over the last 6 months..

Why is this important?

I get the feeling I know the answer to this already, but much like your mech exterior, you see your Pilot model for like 5 seconds as the match starts, then never again.

Unless you're like. Actively holding down freelook and staring at your arms and crotch.

What's the point? Why do you want it so bad?

Because it's an important area of polish that ought to have some actual polish applied to it. Even for those five seconds at the start of the match you can see just how god-awful the current model is.

And, if it was customization, that means we might eventually get a pilot or character screen... which some of us really like the idea of.

But I think in the BT world that easily qualifies as Lostech together with videogame consoles and smartphones

Though that brings up an interesting tanget: will there still be Forumwarriors in 3050? Or have forumss become Lostech too and are replaced with Solaris challenges?
