Hello everyone,

Yesterday I was in-game and I experienced an odd bug on Tourmaline Desert near D5 through the little side-passage. I was backing up and clipped the left wall in combat while walking backward through it and my entire screen had shown a reverse view of behind my mech and I could see teammates behind me.

I understand that isn't a reverse camera alongside us being able to see what is in front of us simultaneously, like everyone wants (not possible in the traditional sense), but it was a separate view entirely that changed the entire screen in a blip when I held reverse down.

If that bug could be replicated into Module form, and whenever we pressed the reverse key the entire screen changed I think it would be of benefit to those that want that feature. The only odd thing was, was that I could see the statistics of the mech still and the radar was blank, as if the pilot in the chair had turned their head 180 degrees in reverse and the rear of the cabin, inside of the mech, was transparent. Obviously that would need changing for immersion purposes, but other than that it seems possible if the bug could be replicated and packaged in a module.

Feel free to comment below and discuss how you voted. Keep in mind, if third person view is possible so is what I described above as it is technically the same thing because it isn't two views on the screen at one time.

I voted yes, because I would like to see some kind of rear view capability. Not even so much as not to be surprised by a sneaky backstabing attack but rather to make it possible to mount rear firing weapon (within very strict boundaries). Rear firing weaponry is not unknown in lore, most notably the pre-Outreach refit configuration of Yen-Lo-Wang relied on a backfiring medium laser.

I would slightly tip the scale to go for the view-in-view version although a full back view would also prevent you from front facing information. Or maybe rear view could be highly stylized like the often Lore mentioned magnet anomaly detection?

Make rear-firing one crit only, ML at best. Make the rear view tiny or so irritating that you really have to master it's usage. Maybe make it a module so you have to weight it's benefit agains other modules.

I would sort it under "nice-to-have" as there are way more important issues to deal with for PGI at the moment. And the cards may be dealt differently after the next Big Fat Mechwariorr Update on March 15th anyway.
