The gargoyle and the Highlander IIC have to be kept on the same level.

The Highlander is tall enough to reach the top of buildings so it can clean the bird droppings from the gargoyles.

Garg is fine, but only as a pulse boat, just about everything else is pretty mediocre.

Garg could use some small adjustments to its CT hitbox still though, quirks have done alot for it, especially after the agility changes, but thing is still a bullet-magnet with gorilla arms.

An optional XL320 engine CT would do a lot for it...

Or hell... a STD320 engine CT. Both would increase free tonnage.

So it would be OP if it got those quirks I suggested?

In the eyes of the forums? Yes.
In reality? It still wouldn't be enough.

I'm sick of the idea that since the bar is "too high", mechs that are lower on the totem pole can't get the help they need.

"Hey can we buff the Gargoyle"

"No, Timber Wolf and Black Knight are too strong so we can't buff the Gargoyle. Let's limit firepower to ~30"

Irrational ********.

No, these quirks wouldn't be OP on the Gargoyle.

Its also irrelevant, for all we know they might nuke all quirks from orbit after the the new Ghost Heat MK 2 and start over, Russ has even mentioned as much on twitter.

Gargoyle is already quirked to have the armour of a 102-ton mech... does it really need more? It's basically already a laser Kodiak with better hitboxes and MASC permanently on with no drawbacks. Am I missing something? What more do you expect from a mech that only costs 80-tons in a deck?

People like to complain. The mech has always been usable, but hey, I like all the buffs it got from everyones complaining.

How about they change the goddamn base stats first before they start buffing the 'Mechs themselves...

Because they're usually by weight class, not tonnage? =P

Rather see it get 50-60% mobility perks.

No, even if they were tonnage based, why would I take a Gargoyle over a Black Knight. They are both humanoid with low hardpoints, laser vomit 55-58 damage, but the BK runs cooler and has LPL duration, and is 5 tons lighter. I wonder how the Gargoyle would stand up... it would just be hotter I think.

Don't forget, pack the PPCs and you've got a God Tier Gundam.

If you disagree, you're a garbage tier Scrub who needs to learn how to play.

What would help Gargoyle and other humanoid mechs would be the ability to lift arms higher instead of firing arm mounted weapons from the waist, to fire over obstacles.

Gargoyle runs cooler. Has way more double heatsinks. Also has more firepower cuz 12 energy hardpoints and clan lazor beamz. Black Knight comes close though.
