actually giving mechs as the grand prize can make people play more...and buy 2 more from the same chassis to level them if they got one in the event...so it is a smart idea. but this...laughable

And then I finally arrived with my preview-grade opinion... Hmm... Alright, PGI gets most of my benefit of the doubt. I think I'll be happy to collect what I can, seeing as my own time is going to be rather limited. I know I won't be able to do 100% on this event, even with a week of time to it, but PGI can't be blamed for what IRL issues I get run over by. Going to be interesting seeing another MechWarrior that I had thought we lost to an MMORPG (that ugly RuneScape, and I mentioned this some time ago) diving back into the fray of MWO with this event.

I am left with questions, though... What's with only giving 24 hours after the event to claim prizes, when 4 days has usually been given as the after-window to do so? I'm curious why there's no extra Mech Bay or Mech offered as a Grand Prize with this event as well? And what's this game-wrecking rumor I'm reading about the removal of earning Mech Bays as Achievements from Faction Warfare? Is there going to be some kind of lunacy-grade removal of earning of Loyalty Points for those who Contract with all the factions? Heck, PGI, what's with the sudden curve of seemingly trying to earn yourselves Bad Public Relations lately? Why did you remove the option to switch to 32-bit, when there are people on 64-bit systems that can't run MWO in anything higher than 32-bit for some unknown reason? Are you trying to kill your company or drive away most of your player base?

Mechbays would have been cool, but I would honestly have been more excited for colors. A special green for the event would have been awesome.

That being said, one of the prizes IS MC. We could always use that MC to buy mechbays or colors, depending on how much it is.

The event page says if you own a pre-order pack you 'receive 25 bonus redemptions'.

Does this mean you simply receive these redemptions without playing any games or do you have the opportunity to earn more than the maximum 150 redemptions?
