i think most of the people who play these events are the ones who usually dont play a whole lot of mwo. give away free stuff no matter how worthless it is people will flock far and wide to get one. so the servers are flooded with t5s who would be playing minecraft otherwise.

pgi likely gains a rise in sales durring the event. foot in the door and all. people dropping cash for mc and other stuffs. then it says buy a kodiak/pheonix hawk and get more free stuff on the redeem page. its marketing, thats all. enjoy your worthless trinkets and buy a mech pack.

Seriously PGI .... out of all the things you can offer, previous mechs as previous loot bag grand prizes, this is pretty sad.

You just released a bunch of new (C) mechs, why not put one of those as grand prize? Would at least be somewhat similar to previous events where we got Centurion-AH and Timber Wolf (C)

especially since it's not even one that will stay exclusive. By next year at the latest, it'll be common swagbag filler for these events.

Wow, entitled much? Some folks maxed out the loot bag event for the Timberwolf and never even got it. Just be happy that you are getting free stuff.

Entitled has nothing to do with it. It's PISS POOR engagement with rolling out an event. Put SOME effort into it. Cockpit items simply aren't going to get people in the cockpit like they do when it's a mech. Argue that fact please, because we know it's true.

So, PGI, when you make events, stop handing it off to the interns who scrub your coffee pots.

It is however the only way to avoid the derp that is solo queue during these events.
