So recently I bought my first Mad Cat, the C model.
Now of course I want to master the chassis so I have to buy 2 additional, but which should it be? Is there any real difference to them since Omnipods and all?
I can't figure it out, as title says, I'm a dumb-dumb

Only the center torso is absolute. That said it is sensible to buy a variant that is already close to the pod configuration you want. Get at least 2 variants with CT laser hardpoints (maybe even all 3 if you can). I got the S when it was on sale a while back. The JJs are nice but the lack of a CT hardpoint is a regrettably noticeable loss.

Ahhh hadn't noticed the CT was absolute. Luckily C variant is an energy.
Will keep a look out for that when deciding, thanks. Yes I know it would be sensible to buy the variant otherwise closest to the omnipods wanted but eh, they are not as expensive as a wrong mech.
Thanks.

A,C,D has 1 laser CT hardpoint, S got 1 JJ CT, Prime got 1 Ballistic CT hardpoint. Since you already got C i would advise grab either A,S for another laser ct and JJ ct for variation or A,D for total of 3 laser CT timbers. Don't bother with the prime since the only thing you can put in that CT 1 machinegun.

Yeah I really wish they'd move that fixed armor slot out of the CT so I could load up on 3 torso mounted ballistics. It would probably just end up making the Timber Wolf too versatile.
