Even worse, they put the tower on the promontory end of the Citadel. The team that spawns on the East side is practically granted control, while the team that spawns on the West side has to cross open water to even contest the circle, and then has nowhere to go.
Terrible, horrible, crap placement. And it's perfectly obvious at first glance just how terrible it is.

1. Get to the center first, take it, and hold it.
2. STAY THE F*** AWAY FROM THE CENTER, and never go near it. Force the enemy to leave the center to come out and fight you on your terms.
Anything in between those results in a loss.
