I can no longer play MWO after the latest patch, so I can't try out the new game modes and the Archer that I bought 
What happened was that I was originally unaware that my hard drive space was almost close to full capacity when I ran the patch, so it alerted me but it still tried to complete the process. I got the feeling that it never really did even though it still allowed me to hit PLAY. I clicked on it just to see what would happen and, lo and behold, the game wouldn't load. It gets stuck immediately once the game's window pops up, but I see nothing but a black screen with no sound or anything, so I I don't see the cutscene animation of the Atlas followed by the login screen, etc.
So, the next thing I did was run the repair tool. It did its thing, it spotted some corrupted files and fixed them I think, but after hitting PLAY it still resulted in the same problem. So I uninstalled the game and removed the other stuff that was cluttering up my hard drive space to begin with. I made sure that any leftover files were deleted and I also ran CCleaner. I then downloaded the client and reinstalled it again. Same problem. Just to be on the safe side I uninstalled once more and reinstalled it on a different hard drive. Same problem.
