I'm thinking of getting stalkers. The mastery bundle gives me:
The Misery.
The 5M
The 3F (C)
anyone have builds for those?

Here is a build for the 5m. This is based on the metamachs 5m, but without artemis. Basically you point your giant ugly nose at the enemy mech and spam fire SRM's until they die.

Here is the misery build. This is again based on metamechs. This may actually be entirely a metamechs design. For this, you basically are the trading master of the battlefield. That 40 pinpoint alpha wrecks.
(Have not played stalkers.......... I'm guessing these are somewhat good builds.)

Here's the MISERY that I use. Large pulse lasers as left click, large laser and AC10 as right click, right arm is a shield and sacrificial. The build I actually use has 4 tonnes ammo and stripped armour from the right arm, but that's personal taste - I generally don't live long enough in this thing to actually need 80 rounds out of it.

It really depends on your play style. the AC20/2xPPC build is really old, but hey, 40PPFLD is still 40PPFLD.
Or do something like

For the 3F/5M, just load them up with SRMs and go to town.

Is it viable to use the 3F as a energy boat?

I run 3xERLLs and 5xSRM6 with my 5M. The STD 300 engine gets you up to battle quickly and the SRMs make short work of just about anything. The ERLLs give quite a bit of usability outside of 300m too.
As to buying the pack, STKs are some of the best assaults in game, but you may also want to consider the Battlemasters. In the right hands, they're just as tough and have far more consistent weapon systems. Key words there are "in the right hands", so if your new to assault piloting, the STKs are a better bet.
Can't say much of the hero, either than the Misery is, was, and seemingly always will be a solid mech.
