It generates the least cbills/hr though...
Why? Because the average skirmish match is ~5-6 minutes, the average conquest match is ~9 minutes.
Unless conquest paid 400k cbills for the same outcome at 200k cbills in skirmish...you are losing cbills/hr.
Since conquest does not pay dramatically more, you end up making less overall, not just a little less either...SUBSTANTIALLY less...to the tune of 40% less cbills/hr. over the course of a play session.

Does PGI have a link showing the average time per game mode somewhere?

Only the brain dead living in a permanent state of denial white knights of MWO could possibly defend the changes to conquest. I can beat bad players, I can't win against those who refuse to accept reality.

Well, geez, who would have ever thought that might happen?

I guess maybe there´s some hope for this game and it´s community after all....

It was proven on REddit after the Patch was released..
Conquest on average now generates 40 percent Less C Bills per hour...
All of the people in this thread that think Conquest is fun now must not have been playing with a Disconnect and waste 5-6 minutes of their game time. Or last player is a one legged Stalker that has to go finish Capping Theta and it takes forever,ect...
We were all basically trolled by PGI...
18 More days until it is fixed... something that should have been QA BEFORE the Patch... Russ and Paul really dropped the Ball( at least Domination timer went from 3 minutes to 1 minute with a hotfix)

Cool beans. Was gonna feel the fool if I had missed some section of our personal statistics page.

If the link Gyrok shared is what you're referring to it most definitely wasn't proven. A single random persons (are they impartial?) findings over such a small sample of varied modes only implies. Since the patch it's felt like skirmish and conquest are taking about the same amount of time and I play for fun not $ per hr. Of course I've been lucky and only had one drawn out capping session as neither team had bothered capping squat. Otherwise it's usually been pretty quick and no one legged assault issues.

I don't mind the idea but they really should have made it so the game ended once an outcome was inevitable.

I vote conquest because I'd rather have a game mode that's actually fun than maximize earnings

Its meant to work against teams that don't play the objectives at all. I've been in a number of games where the winning team was completely hopeless on being able to capture enough points to stop a cap win, but managed to kill off the last enemy just in time. Though not in time enough where they could have prevented the capture win if the match had continued.
I find I support this measure, because it means that a team that spends the game playing the objectives can still win if the enemy team does a terrible job of it themselves. A team that is so far behind on capture that they must kill off the opposing team to win has failed on several levels. Also if the game doesn't end until someone captures then it encourages people to actually play the objectives instead of going deathball.

I guess you can construct some weird scenario where all the kills are made while both teams' cap points are very low, but in practice this basically never seems to happen

This has not been my experience.
I've found that either usually took 5-6 minutes before the most recent changes. However, I've NEVER seen a Conquest match take more than 10 minutes. But I HAVE seen Skirmish matches take the full 15, rather rare, but it happens, though more frequently the aberrant long match takes 10-12 minutes.
As things are now, Skirmish is unchanged, and Conquest takes perhaps 1 extra minute.

I posted on reddit my experience, which has now been updated with approximately a total of 25 hours worth of drops...the gap in time is typically about 3 minutes in my experience,
