It appears as though houses in your game will simply be like races in an MMO, and you will put the grouping and team achievement portion of the game on the Mercs.
Am I reading this correctly, houses are like races, in an MMO, and Mercs, are like Guilds?
Cuz if thats what your doing, you are going to really dissapoint about half your audience.
We house guys think of the merc guys as the scum of the earth, and regularly whipe them off our boots, as we proceed to the real enemies, the other houses. We won't join a Merc unit even if it means missing out on what could have been a good game. We will instead find other ways to spend our time.
Inside of the houses, we have Units with much richer and more interesting history than the loser Merc units. 25th Marick Militia took the single greatest losses in the clan invasion for example. Why not allow the same level of freedom to organize and work towards objectives as a team, in the house units, giving us planets to attack and defend.
It appears from what you have posted that house players will just run random drops and you will tally some abstract objectives at the end of an arbitrary time period to determine overall house progress, while you are going to have organized merc on merc combat drops scheduled etc.???
There are A LOT of Kurita and Steiners that need to have their pompus mouths shut. Do not Deny me this right.

I just noticed one mistake. December 7th, 3048 will actually be a Thursday.

EDIT: Actually, you're correct but for reference they're doing the day matching for lore and game purposes.
Looks like 3053 = 2011 in terms of date and day matching.

Trystan was just pointing out a calendar "mistake" in a sense.
For the game's purpose the Year is the only thing that should be interchangeable. 2012 = 3049, 2013 = 3050 (current year + 1037, essentially).
