Time to start playing with the Big Boy's & Girl's

As a casual solo only player I was pleased when PSR hit and I was placed in tier 2 although at the bottom end, Since then I've mastered about half a dozen chassis and played C-Bill bonus mech's when I needed the cash to buy more.
My goal every match is to be in the top 4 on our side, and 95% of the time I achieve that.

If I'd piloted meta mech's I suppose I'd be tier 1 long ago, but that's not my style.

I don't keep track of my scores but this tournament does and show's I'm not on an XP bar, half my match scores are 400+
56,161,199,217,234,295,301,319,340,344,371,374,389,392,401,410,415,431,434,436,451,452,456,479,497,500,532,664 Avg=376.8

I felt almost no difference between tier 2 and tier 1. Sometimes your team sucks and sometime it doesn't.... or at least less than the enemy team. Posted Image

But congrats, you spend a considerable amount of time in MWO and proved that you don't suck. Keep up the good work.

Not necessarily related to you Doman Hugin, I'm just wondering who consider the tiering system to be just an "XP bar" but at the same time are secretly proud that they are Tier 1. As I never accept the "XP bar" idea, I'm immune to this!

there have been a lot of comments about PSR being an XP bar, and because I've never kept track and always progressed upwards I was not sure myself.
But those tournament records paint a pretty convincing picture that my PSR should be increasing.

Its one of those things that doesn't tell the whole story. Somebody that is tier 2 might be better than somebody that is tier 1. Tier 1 guy might only run in big groups with meta mechs and have 3,000 games in psr compared to the tier 2 guy who has 500 games and plays everything. But of course maybe the tier 1 guy is actually better who knows. So basically I just go with tier 1 doesn't prove you are good but if you have 5,000+ games and are tier 4 or 5 then you are probably doing something wrong.

I made tier 2 quite a while back - but the problem is I mostly play CW, where the tiers do not apply. I almost never play the group queue either - so I really have no idea where my actual standings are under the current system. I do know when I encounter the superior players, because I get my *** kicked by them, nearly every time:)
