I played Duke Nukem: Forever. It was a pretty fun game of nostalgia. Not the greatest thing I have ever played, definitely not the worst either. Not as bad as a lot of people made it out to be. It did make me laugh a lot though.

Does this mean we're going to have fishing in the game, because fishing with an atlas sounds amusing.

That would be a good easter egg for MWO. They're still named after their fishing game afterall.

Nothing wrong with some skepticism and their past record is a valid thing to bring up. But I'm not too worried, we already know that the graphics and animations look nice from the recorded demonstrations and most of what the team has written about the game makes it sound like they know their MW.

My own worry is that it may be too much of an adjustment for me to move from the free for all arena combat I usually engaged in when playing MW on-line back in the day, to a more team oriented approach. But I guess that's on me, not the game devs. I would like for them to include a random brawl mode for those of us who want a more mindless mech fix once in a while though.

Their Wiki Page has 8 games listed:
http://en.wikipedia....Games_developed

I myself played Duke Nukem Forever, which was a HORRIBLE title. I don't know how much they actually did on that game but I don't blame them for its worthlessness. That game was passed along 5 different developers over 15 years before finally hitting release! It was doomed without a complete overhaul, which it got several times but that still didn't save it from being an utter failed mess of a game. It released in 2011 looking like a 2005 game in every aspect.(Graphics, gameplay, multiplayer, etc) In its current form it should have been a game that shipped with the 360 when it was brand new. Imagine if Perfect Dark Zero came out today instead of in 2005... it would have been panned and tossed to the trashcan. Even if it came out during a time at which its now low standards were acceptable it would have only been an average product at best.(Gears of War came out in 2006 btw) But as it stands Duke Nukem just came out over half a decade too late.

I would be interested in trying Piranha's other products but I don't like racing games and typically don't like Transformers at all.(The movies are insultingly bad) I'll just be waiting for MechWarrior Online. I've little to no faith in companies anymore after being repeatedly insulted by EA and Blizzard, so here's hoping they don't let us down.

Revenge of the Fallen was ok....... and Duke Nukem well.... just damn I was more pleased with the buggy/horrible 12 year wait for Diablo 3 from Blizzard than the 13 years for Duke Nukem Forever.

But I'm not saying I dont have faith in PGI, I'm just saying that everyone has bumps and well Duke Nukem was kind of a festering tumor that was removed from memory with time.

If they put fishing in this game your Atlas would reel in a Commando.

They only ported it to consoles.
