I just know that the scenario had to follow one of these two possibilities:

Option 1) The seriously modded Dire Wolf ran him down at speeds hitherto unknown:





Option 2: The Dire Wolf ran him down for reasons none of us can fathom.





Either way, this thread makes for jolly good reading!

So many people here think that all Assault Mechs should be able to out-run Direwolves when you are already at CQC range... While that Direwolf is firing UAC's and your own heat is pegged at 90%.

Yes. Sure. All Assault Mechs can speed away from a Direwolf in no-time flat.

Some people shouldn't post just for the sake of insulting someone... It looks very dumb when you fail in the process.

While the responses have been amusing, if cruel, the OP edited his post and clarified that he was in a similar slow Assault mech and has since foresworn ever posting on these forums again because of our hostility. Will no one apologise or make any effort to show that we're better than COD's playerbase, and I know that we are!

1st rule, or rather a general tip on posting:

Post all the info in your situation, or risk being berated for the situation you got into.

That's all I gotta say, because now the edited post, to some, looks like a cover up for being silly and letting one self be pulled into a situation like so.

If the OP is telling the truth about being in a slow Assault, I can understand and empathize a bit.

However, the fact still remains that he let a Dire walk up on him, lol. Ninja Dires are pretty rare animals; the kind you try to capture alive for research if you find one. Even at his slow speed, the OP should have been able to keep >100 meters between him and the Dire unless Scotty beamed it down from the Enterprise right on top of him.

Edit: What most people here have issues with are the following:
1) OP rage posted. That automatically fails the entire thread.

2) Rage post is about a niche troll build that is ludicrous but hardly overpowered. This fails the OP's credibility.

3) Mech in question is terribly slow, so the OP claiming that he couldn't put 90+ meters between the two of them blows people's minds in the absence of more info.

4) Though the OP has been a good sport about all this and belatedly edited his post, the genie is out of the bottle on this one.

Not really wound up I just feel sorry for the guy. First he gets killed by a Dire Wolf Flamer Build then he receives a quality thrashing indeed from most of us! Though, not everyone is having fun and he did vow never to post again because of the great shame this post has brought him. Poor guy.
