Rarely Seen Mechs

In your experience, what mechs do you very rarely see on the battlefield, or what mechs are challenging to play?
Sidenote: I'm a Free Worlds League loyalist, and bonus points for a faction-typical recommendation!
Thanks in advance!

Great mech but hard to pilot, it's a very challenging chassis

As someone whose first mech was an Awesome (they're still my favourite) I second this.
Well, first few weeks, ready for your tears overflowing your house. There, warning given.
Now go get them.

My list of rarely seen mechs would be
Orion
Trebuchet
Summoner (clan)
Victor
I see quick draws all the time in community warefare. Same with Griffins I guess another mech I might throw in there is the shadow hawk.

Awesome was my first mech too! At the time I instantly regretted not getting an Atlas though lol (2012 - no quirks).
Then I switched to lights and found out that I was most deadly in a Raven.

In game (CPT Obvious, reporting for duty Sir!)
Marik-flavored
Rarely seen (in MWO)
Orions and Awesomes without a doubt.
If Hermes II (lighter Medium) were in the game, it would be a lock, but it's not.
Marik seems to have had the highest proportion of Trebs out of any of the houses.
Wolverines aren't as common now as they were not too long ago, but Marik ran a hefty number of them, much like their Orion percentages.
Kintaros were (in BT) crazy rare (only Davion/Kurita/Comstar in limited numbers) and are (in MWO) rare (not meta darlings). They're just not "Marik enough."
So Marik, rarely seen (in MWO)?
Awesome, Orion, Wolvierine (BT FWLM very common, not exactly MWO rare but I don't see them much), Treb (BT FWL used more than other houses, definitely MWO rare).
I'm levelling Trebs right now, and having more fun than I expected. Awesomes are streakier for me, Orions too. Wolverines play differently after the quirk reductions, not sure on them yet.
Edits: clarity
