An XL? Really? I much prefer my 4xLPL and a TAG for all the bonuses, runs much cooler and resist much more too. I had a 7 kills game yesterday, woo!

Because of its hitboxes, in my opinion, the speed and agilty from the big XL outweighs the issue of death on ST - it spreads dmg quite well when you twist, but its normally the CT that goes. I find when i run it with a STD i die faster, because i cant move as well and i get cored.

It's been a while since I took it for a ride, but this DWF-B is the only mech that never disappoints me.

Thats my Dakka Whale build, but id run all 3 UAC5s on the right and the 2 UAC10s on the left torso, plus swap 1 ton UAC10 ammo for 1 ton USC5 ammo, because due to ROF and UAC10 having more dmg/ton the 5 ammo runs out a lot faster.

Easy for me.

Hunchback.

Specifically the 4G. Such an Iconic mech and I love having a big *** Autocannon.

then after that would be Centurion, Crab, Warhammer, Marauder, and my Wolfhound.

I would have to go with either the ACH-Prime or JR7-F.

Probably ACH for the ECM.

In this game because the model of the Battle Master looks so bad, hands down the Victor 9B
with its big boom stick.

If the Battle Master looked more 'gundam' like it should, then I'd be torn, because if I'm honest, the Vic's wide shoulders and head sunk in them look that PGI made ain't that good either.

I'd love to say my MAD-BH... but in the end I'd end up driving my little ball of love: Jenny Oxide. Standard 4xSRM4 straight up.

My Founder's Catapult C1. 2x ML, 2x LL, 2x LRM10, 4 tons ammo.

As much as I love the Mad Cat and Whammy, nothing beats out the first mech I ever had.

Mist Lynx, granted I am not playing it that much as of late but if I look at the most memorable moments of my MWO life they are all in MLX. The little bugger is meh most of the time but it has those glorious moments were you pull out stupid stuff like doing low height passes over direwolves or jumping from one stupid place to the next while raining some fire down.

King Crab 000B. No smurfy's because x4 UAC5 with tons of ammo,2 Flamers, very low heat generating,360XL for a super fast twisting 63kph assault Death Star with legs and can roll up on you pretty darned fast if you aren't watching (or stuck in super zoom popping shots at a peeker).

What would it be....

Please back up with Smurfy

Mine is the well rounded ACH Prime with 6 x Small Pulse and ECM. Starting to really like the fella.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...cfaefaa58672649

A whole lot of Metal has come and gone. I got small group of mechs I genuinely love. But if I had to play just one single Mech the rest of my time in MWO?

HBK-4G(F) "Can Opener"

Pop in the AC20 lvl5 Cooldown, Mlaser lvl5 Cooldown, Seismic and Radar Derp.

Justify it? My first mech in MWO. Before I upgraded to Legendary Founder, my pack came with one mech, I chose the Hunchback. I'd say it's my signature mech, it certainly has the most drops. And it fits me perfectly. It's just fast enough to flank and skirmish. The high hardpoint allows me to sneak and peek. RoF let's me be a real threat even to Assaults, as long as I keep moving, twist and shout and my aim is true.

It's scored me an Ace of Spades, but only ever broken 1000 dmg once.

In fact, it's rare I do over 650 damage in it. But almost anytime I hit 500 dmg, it's guaranteed to bring at least 3 kills with it, because it's a simple, efficient and brutal killer. It doesn't ring up gaudy stats, doesn't inflate epeen. It just rewards true aim with dead enemies. I was in the lead on the Chassis Tournament, and even though I only played half the day, my score (tourneys really are just grind fests for the most part) I still kept in the top 20.

Add to it that the Founder's version is Gorgeous? Considering how ugly the original art was? Amazing job by Alex.

So whatever else happens? Only way you get to take away my Hunchback? Is by prying it out of my cold, dead fingers.

Not my best match in it, but pretty indicative of how a good match should look. More than about 150 or so damage per kill, and it means my aim was pretty off.

Really hard question. But I'll have to go with the Raven 3L (or when it is added [next year] the Raven 3M)

It was my fave mech for many years and the 3L (3M) is the one I am the most grown to. I like the versatility of the raven chassis but the 3L is the most iconic one of them all. You can run skirmishers, scouts, spotters, LRM boats, snipers, etc with it.

Smurfy builds of what I currently run on it...

RVN-3L (spotter)
RVN-3M (Solaris VII "Hero" - MW4:M)

Other builds I could run on it....
RVN-3L (2 x SRM 6, 2 x Small pulse laser, 1 x Small laser)
RVN-3L (1 x SRM 6, 2 x small pulse laser, 1 x ER PPC)
RVN-3L (2 x SRM 4, 2 x medium laser, 1 x large laser)

Just a few examples inspired from lore, MW4, MW: LL, etc. However if I can only do 1 build. It would be the standard 3L load out stocked+'ed.

However with the arrival of the kodiak... I must say I may change my mind.
