Tier 2?

...

A wrong turn or a wrong shift in group or even poke can cost you your CT or ST.

And that's from someone who knows a thing or two about where enemy location is.

It will be fine, just dont overheat.

Overheating near an enemy is a 100% death sentence in tier2-1.

That was kinda the only difference I really "felt" in tier 2 coming from tier 3.

Tier 3 players play against everyone, including their 1 players.

Teir 2 players will only see the following change - you will not be playing with any Tier 5 new players. That's the difference; no more new players, only players who have played before.

Im closing on T1.
T2 feels no dif than T3 to me.

T4 was the best.
You dont have the stigma of being on the bottom, but you still get to play against the rookies

It's essentially like T3, except at T2 there's a greater chance of running into someone really, really, really good, who will f*ck your day up. And T1 is basically the same, with an even greater chance of running into those people.

But yeah, unless you're playing prime time NA hours, don't expect a huge improvement in teamwork and smart collective decision making. Nor should you expect any less salt.

Game will be much harder in t2. You will meet much better players and you really have to carry hard every single game.

Just joking, PSR is nothing but a sad joke when it comes to rating player skill. Don't worry too much, you won't see a difference. The difference between a terribad playing in t3 and a terribad playing in t1 is literally just the number of games played. Everyone who is able to shoot straight will reach t1 sooner or later.
The only thing PSR does is seperating brand new and outrageously bad players from average ones. That's it.

Don't fool yourself into thinking higher tiers will result in better gameplay or higher skill. Aside from the depths of distilled, pure terribadness that is t4 and 5, everything is pretty much just a wash of all skill levels with numbers of games played being the deciding factor in which number guys can display next to their name. Top lel.

The only difference between tiers is that the higher you get the more meta there is.

It's like T3, only 1 less.

I was being snarky, but it's basically true.

There's no real difference between T3 and T2 if you've been playing an old account. By which I mean an account that existed before they implemented Tiers, so is progressing at the glacial pace that non-newbie accounts are subjected to.

The reason for that is that you've been slowly getting better as you've been playing, so quite possibly haven't even noticed that everyone else around you is getting better, too. There's no "hard cutoff" between tiers... you'll still see the same people in your matches, just possibly in slightly different concentrations. So if you aren't checking your Tier after every match, you won't even notice when you cross the line. Nothing changes. You may even bounce back and forth from T3 to T2 to T3 to T2 a couple of times before T2 sticks for good.

Basically, it's a non-event.

I only started umm, a month ago, maybe 5 weeks.

I spent three weeks in Tier 5 finding my feet.

Tier 4 passed in a flash.

I'm Tier 3 now and the difference is significant. Hoping progress through it doesn't go as fast as Tier 4 or I'll be in big trouble in 2.

Funnily enough, pug groups still don't use voice much. Maybe 1 match in 12 or 15 does someone actually take command. Over 50% nobody even says a word.

And there are still people who don't lock their targets. o.O

If you're comfortable with your gameplay now, you should be fine. As others have noted, teamplay doesn't necessarily get better, but individual play does. Just try not to do stupid things that get you killed in the first two minutes.

Initially, I didn't like T2 as much as I did T3, but that was just because I wasn't used to it. Now that I've been in it for a bit, I kind of like it. The group queue is a lot more interesting and considerably more stable, so you can get a feel for it. This lets you predict your games to a certain extent.

No change in the pugging queue though. Pugs are pretty stupid at whatever tier you play. They just carry bigger alphas higher up the ladder, so if they do get lucky and connect with you, it hurts a bit more.

Overall, I'd say that T2 and T3 aren't too different overall. T2 is definitely more competitive, but not so much that it isn't fun to play. It's just a bit of a different dynamic is all.

You won't find any new enemies or teammates in Tier 2.

I don't get it. Why do so many people make a big deal about the jump from Tier 3 to Tier 2 if a Tier 3 player is already dropping in matches with top-tier players? The only thing you'll notice is the distinct lack of Tier 5 players.

You won't find ANY tougher opponents or ANY better teammates. You will find the same ones you are already playing with, you'll just see them more frequently.

Thank you all! Some nice comments here...

Like I said I'm not worried, it was funny to post though!

See how many are not showing their Tier level below their name? Posted Image yeah yeah yeah, you're against the Tier thing or whatever, blah blah blah. Posted Image I would prolly been 1 if I always played seriously and the best I can but I just like to have fun sometimes so it happens that I jump in a funny build and laugh or use a more fragile chassis I'm not totally used to or even pick a light and play it like a heavy without being afraid to meet the enemy.

Probably because everyone wants more opportunities to hand someone else their *** after having theirs handed to them on a more regular basis. I could be wrong though.

It's because Tier is pretty meaningless. You'll note that I don't display a faction or a title, either. All meaningless.

If your opinion of my comments changes based on my Tier, that's a problem with you and not with me.

All the tiers are the same, the only thing that changes between them is the level of inflation of the pilots ego. In the end, no tier is better than another.

You must carry 5 games of potatoes, before you get to roll 1 game of potatoes.
Every 10th game is a fun game of equal opponents..

Not interesting at all.

Join a unit and play FW.
You get plenty of opportunities to roll pugs as you hone your team tactical awareness, to ready you for awesome unit on unit warfare.

Pretty much the same as T3 was for me.
