Yeaaaaaah.... Unless, PGI really ***** up its hitboxes (very unlikely, due to the way the orthos looks like, with those massive arms and non-distinct torsos), it's going to be the new king of Assault mechs.

But the Inner Sphere does not have any Ghost Heat on Autocannons, which gives the Mauler a huge advantage over Clan Assaults. It takes a huge amount of concentration to get the most out of a Clan Assault's ballistics without accidentally triggering Ghost Heat.

Clan Lasers are awesome, but not sustainable in a protracted face-timing brawl...

Or it can't do the twist, like the poor Battlemaster.

After what they did to the Archer, we have entered the era of the "Care Bear" Battlemehs.
The omission of the letter "c" was intentional.

I shall start a Kodiak is DOA thread.

And then PGI will leave it alone.

Yes, I have that power.

No, that's a Warhawk. Look at the energy mounts, the shape of the "roof" just over the Atlas' arm, the shape and size of the bits flying off the side just below the punching arm. Artist probably just messed up the placement of the missile pod.

Warhawk through and through.

As I recall (it's been almost 20 years), it's a Warhawk H which carries an LRM-10 in the right arm.
