[Gas Guzzler]

So no new mech for April? I guess we will find out in a week if we get some of the long awaited variants of current mechs... such as:

CTF-3L
WVR-7M
VTR-9A
SMN-M
Those crazy Resistance 2 variants in the game files (Mauler with energy chests and ballistic arms, BK with right arm ballistic, Crab with shoulder PPCs)

Any others? Theories?

I think someone said they were focusing on CW phase 3 in April. So no new mech. But I don't know if that was official or speculation.

Yes this is true. There probably wouldn't be a lot of hype around if they did, so maybe a release in the gift store first like they did with the griffin 2n and locust 3v.

I suspect some of these variants (particularly the CTF-3L as it's been brought up with Russ a few times but nothing has happened) are being saved for loyalty mechs...

Screw the lore and give me quad ballistic armed Stalker (P). I'm gonna put XL in it, and ride the UAC5 dakka to Valhalla. The mech will be chrome painted, or its near equivalent.

Yep, possibly obsoleting the Catapult-C4 in the process, which is not hard to do. C4 is really meh.

I thought you wanted power draw to limit dakka as well? I mean, if you can actually do damage to another mech, someone might get upset when they get killed by a loadout different from their's.
