It was HOT but my god, it wrecked before they requirked the BKs. As the only BK that was released with a heat gen quirk, it was the only one worth using.

Across the BKs themselves, its another great case study of how not being focused with quirks creates one or two really good variants and one or two completely ignorable ones.

Why does one variant get accel/deccel quirks and the others do not?

Why does the variant that comes stock with 2x LPLs get quirks for the single ER PPC it has? Why doesn't that include an ER PPC velocity boost?

Why does the variant that comes stock with 3x LLAS not get any LLAS specifc quirks?

Why does the variant that comes with SEVEN LASERS stock get mostly quirks for the SINGLE PPC it comes it?

It just makes absolutely no sense, its one thing for my complete cynicism to tell me that they nerfed Thunderbolts while buffing GRH/BK to sell more GRH/BK, its quite another for them to make one or two variants across a Chassis completely superior when it would take minimal effort to separate them and give each of them an identity and relatively equal value.

The quirks don't speak to the stock loadout outside of pure lipservice, the quirks don't speak to players who want a plethora of high performance specialists to choose from, the quirks don't take inherent value of each variant into proper consideration.

So, I'm not even sure who they are targeting with these designs.

It's just a haphazard, lazy job.

Warhammer - 2

Marauder - 2

Black Knight - 2

Grasshopper - 2

All 2. Why? It's based on your build and skill, no such mech is OP, if it's OP, then it's bcos the build and pilot or maybe your team is pure tier 5

The simplest answer is the best answer.

I could've given a more thorough answer, but it felt like the perfect punchline at the moment.

Took the 3R, Bounty Hunter and the (S) WHR to basics.

Yeah, rock solid. Feels a lot like an EBJ in that regard; not so much in how it plays but relative impact and firepower. Solid, viable, reliable and a good choice for a heavy. I'd struggle to say the BK is outright better.

It's a good thing. All four seems to have very distinct spaces. I'm pleased, more so than I expected.
