Judging by the low (for XP) experience payout, and the low kill to damage ration, I'd say LRM boat. Usually (though by no means not the only way) to break 1000 dmg and see only 2000xp is if most of your damage was accrued thru indirect fire.
The 400 dmg per kill is also pretty LRM consistent.
(though obtainable in lasers, etc, too. I've had AC/Laser mechs do 800-1000 dmg with only asingle kill because either I couldn't get my aim on, or seemed luck of the devil, someone would swoop in and grab the kill last second. So by no means conclusive)
Just a guess, though.

More ammo = lots more damage. Think about it this way: In my 3xUAC5 JM6-DD, those two backup mediums people like to carry = 2 tons of ammo = 60 shots (20 trigger pulls) = 300 damage.
I'd need to fire my medium lasers 300 damage / 10 damage per click = 30 times during a match to get the same damage. Never going to happen.
If your team sucks that bad that when you run out of ammo you still lose, well that's just life.

I'll just rip the dial cannon arm off your jager, and then fartt around until I hit an ammo crit. Or just go for the under armored leg where you keep 2 tons of ammo.

Running out of ammo is usually the sign of a good match given I usually carry plenty. Given damage per ton running out of AC10 ammo is usually the most satisfying.

If you get down to position 3/4 then either your team has this in the bag, or you ****** up.
