The first release of RogueMek is now available! However, due to its multiplayer nature it requires a web server host to be played on. My own server won't be ready for some time due to ISP issues, so I'm looking to the community to get some additional servers up for people to play on. If you would like to make your server public, I can even post its URL up on the project web site!

How is this one different from MegaMek?

MegaMek is basically the exact board game rules, RogueMek instead has each unit take a turn at a time, rather than the whole team. Also each turn is resolved at that time, rather than simultaneously at the end of the round. Other than that it still uses the same rules for weapons fire and heat, though using the Solaris rules instead.

Also, RogueMek is played in the browser rather than downloading a client.

Watch the gameplay video and you'll get a good idea of how it's different.
