Dragonfly? Just checked sarna.net and that mech looks underwhelming to say the least. Imho it's a doa.

As a hardcore clan pilot (clan waves 1-3 owner) I'm starting to regret having bought the Kodiak (+Hero) pack after having tried out some IS laser boats and realizing how much clans have been nerfed. Balancing is fine and necessary for the game but stop overdoing nerfs or even buffs!

Keep your mech, PGI, I don't need more useless clan mechs in my garage.

As a Kodiak owner, i am salivating at the chance of playing it, i think it will be absolutely devastating. However i would have preferred a number of other medium mech choices, but many people have said they want all the weight classes filled as it gives diversity and the ability to play varied drop decks in CW, so im fine with it.

I think the viper might be plenty powerful actually. Good engine, endo + ferro, lot's of energy hardpoints and jumpjets. It might be similar in role to the cicada in the sense of being a "medium "light" mech", which I think is interesting.

Certainly more promising than the fridge in any case. Biggest downside will be the 8 hardlocked JJs I guess.

That's easy enough:
  • Submit decal to PGI volunteer staff.
  • Wait for staff to approve it.
  • Pay to unlock your decal for yourself or the entire unit.
  • Apply decal.

I honestly feel you should pay mc just to SUBMIT a design to avoid the deluge of weed and genitalia based ideas being submitted "for lulz"

Zoom being client side proves they listen to player feedback. I at least had a thread open for quite a while and asked a lot on Townhall/twitter and voila.

Given that he works on the game 40+ hours per week, I don't hold it against him if he's not playing 10 hours per week on top of that. I mean, the dude is a president of a gaming company with 50-60 employees.

You put in too many zeroes accidentally. Let me fix it for you

Nope, only that it's delayed.

I didn't know that it has eight! Sucks that they're hardlocked, but this thing is going to fly like an eagle!

~105 meters of vertical! The only thing which can match it is the rare (L)oyalty Cicada (which I fortunately have, lolz).

  • Russ confirms that there's no pink camo colour in the game because Russ & Dennis were worried that it'd make the game look too silly and immature. He may reconsider, they're going to discuss it.

While I personally wouldn't use pink camo, this has to be one of the worst justifications for a cosmetic design decision I've ever heard. Pink is a perfectly cromulent color. There's absolutely no reason not to include a full spectrum of color choices.

With regard to the decals, they should just have the same option in World of Warships for the anime themed skins - you can simply change a setting to never display them. So, in that game, if you don't want to see neon-colored ships all over the place, you turn the anime setting off, and you get reasonably historically accurate vessels. With the same idea implemented here, if you don't want to see mechs covered in decals of crude gestures, genitals, or heaven only knows what else, just change the "display decals" setting to "off."

Unfortunately, this idea is far too easy and logical to ever be implemented.

As for the rest, looks pretty good overall, though I still wish they'd do something with that worthless Pinpoint skill... at this point, it's become a running joke.

Also let's be realistic, it's a game based on a tabletop game from the 80s about giant stompy robots with some of the most ridiculous lore you can imagine, silly and immature is a given.

And that's a reason why I still like it :)

As a paying customer, I am appalled by PGI's hateful attitude towards pink.

This game needs a proper pink. As to what constitutes a proper pink, PGI, please refer to the picture below:

Lots of talk about pink camo, the PPC sort-of "buff", of course the Viper; but nada in re the promised
emphasis about CW phase 3. I feel like something is missing here...like any noticable changes to 12x12 play. I haven't gone back and watched the whole thing but in skimming it, I thought I would run across some mentions of new/improved play/features; but no. Please tell me I just missed it. Or is the only real change the intro of 4x4 play?

Faction play phase 3 really does look great. there is 4 v 4 in it and quite a few other things. Its actually quite something. MechWarrior Online looks like its going to have a really great year seriously. I would even guess more none mech, none map, content being added than in all the previous years combined even.

I would even say this is the best podcast ever. Deliberately vague about whats after June though......

I notice that he didn't provide any new information on the new Void map. I still think we're lacking content regarding that.

Fine by me. I remember what "customized" logos looked like in MW4. Unless they come up with a way to police what goes on there, it would get very ugly very fast.

Agree....nudity and vulgarity is not something I want to be forced to see every time I play the game.

yup.

After all, you submit something and that eats up employee time checking it for approval. Pay to submit. If your art is borderline, that's the risk you choose to take. Nobody is forced to submit anything.
