What's with the crawling speed?Shouldn't he be GTFOing at light speed so that his precious Clan mech doesn't get blown to bits?

While you and I would say "**** this!" And redline it out of the hangar, they are not because of -what we view as silly- protocol.

Things like not stepping on the techs, kicking around any of the support vehicles, smashing into other 'Mechs in a mad dash to get outside. Or causing a massive pileup at the door, because Xphr tripped on a coolant truck in his mad rush to escape and his atlas is now blocking the doorway while we wait for him to stop being unconscious.

You know. . . stuff.

Oh yeah, the part where a veteran pilot who could have done so much for the people of Kentares IV killed himself (and his precious mech) for no good reason was silly aswell. The rest of it was good tho.

The Royal Family was onboard. He gave them time to escape.

It was 4vs1.They could have split their forces if the task was so important. One Nova Cat could have stayed behind while the rest of the lance continues with their objective.

But why am I even trying? As long as it's fun to watch, it's all good!

Veteran pilot and the Nova Cats arm and right t were pulverized by his missiles remember. Also he was in a Vulture which is super dangerous especially in older MW games. So best they made sure he died and didn't take a 75 Ton Nova Cat with him.

If they were after the Royak Family, then they wouldn't care about one mech standing in their way.One drive-by alpha-strike would have crippled his Mad Dog.I believe that this particular lance was on cleanup duty and I still think that the Mad Dog pilot killed himself pointlessly. But then again, he didn't mention why did he choce to delay them.Maybe he was trying to buy time for the civilian transports? Who knows?

That's the thing about clanners: they could have went for the drop ship, but being engaged by that Vulture forced them to fight for their honor.

True... because everyone knows only the Japanese can make really high quality b-movie monsters look lifelike.

Those were not Claners. It was Steiner strike force vs Davion defenders during FedCom civil war.Since the invasion was going for many years, IS had already salvaged a number of Clan tech.

Ah, but Zelbriggen would have made it perfectly fine for them to have only one of them fight him and the rest moving on, even if he fired on the rest as well, that Zelbriggen has been broken does not mean that all other mechs HAVE to pile on the offending mech, especially not when there's a more important objective.

But hey, opening cinematic logic, not making much sense since MW2 Posted Image
