Imperius, I am not trying to push the Night Gyr over the Mk.II for sake of favorites. I have accepted that its the next mech and embrace it. Trust me if I am wrong and the MK.II is announced I would be going crazy with joy.

Imperius we need to go with the flow a bit, Russ is not saying we wont get it, quite the opposite I think he is very in favor of the mech along with many here when the time comes for it. It is to stressful the way you are going I feel, it can not be healthy every month till we get this. I get it man trust me I really do my Mk.II itch is burning as well, but we gotta wait till a truly better time for it and its friends! Posted Image

Imagine a time jump package with 8 new mechs! 4 IS an 4 Clan. Now since this would be similar to the Clan Wave 1 we might get the Golden option you have also been very interested in. PLus I feel a time jump would be simular to the Clan invasion you want them all dropping at once sorta thing, other wise trickling in it would be weird kinda? 8 3060-ish mechs hitting at once would feel just better for the game. Plus a few new toys to put in them and existing mechs Posted Image

I already see a great Time Jump Package something of these likes.

Clan:
Cougar (I know it sucks but its a MW4 mech!)
Arcitc Wolf
Nova Cat
Mad Cat Mk.II

(I know its 2 Battlemechs and 2 Omni's maybe its worth it.

IS:
Owens (see Cougar)
Bushwacker / Chimera
Thanatos
Templar/Hauptman/Sunder

DOA, that's the Hero's name, also could be called pony up mediocre mech connoisseurs. I expect you buy each of these useless mechs you push for. If you don't buy them the you have no right pushing for them.

I would LOVE to see that in the future... But... You have very very high hopes for PGI and MWO...

4 chassis packs are dead...

PGI wants to milk every last dollar out of your pockets... and give you less and less in return.

First they put words into our mouths and say 4 packs are dead because we don't want to wait for 5 months without new content in between packs (yeah... mechs are all the content now I guess)... BS!... you just wanted to make things double price!

Then they introduce single mech packs for 20 dollars and they place a 1 month early adopter reward with some very basic items (which was PART of the previous 4 chassis packs permanently, 4 times more in value). Its like, give us the money NOW, your 40$ is not worth 40$ after this date.

Then they strip the 20$ pack of the very essential item... The Special C-bill variant and they charge for double price for that very same item (they know its all about that variant... otherwise they would not have charged for double price)

Oh... we should not forget about the almighty premium time (the most useless thing in MWO). The same thing PGI slaps at every over-priced pack for the PGIboys to have something to latch onto in their white knight debates.

Sry for the rant.... just had a bad day, and seeing the Viper sale page makes me very sad.

Then your opinion shouldn't count. I don't ask for the Mackie because I think it's junk and like the Urbie useless to the game. Therefore I don't ever ask for it. It's this simple. If you do not plan on buying the mech you say should come into the game, your input should be 100% void and you should stop posting about mechs to add unless you plan on actually buying them. After all mech packs sold as cash (not c-bills) it what pays the bills.

You said the Night Gyr was going to be DOA which is ******* ********. And I certainly will buy it.

Dual Gauss, 4 cERML

3 UAC 10s

4 UAC5s

Gauss, 2 cLPLs, 3 cERMLs

Gorilla arms
Humanoid (bad hit boxes without quirks)
Omnimech (Battlemechs are better)
75 ton mech is it better than the Timberwolf? If no who's going to buy it?

If you do buy it and rally for it go ahead you're on the same playing field as me. I don't see a ton of support for it though.

Its different than a Timber Wolf. Less speed more firepower. And humanoid hit boxes are fine... No support for it? There is definitely a lot of support for it..

I'm not gonna do your homework for you, you can look this thread and other new mech threads. It and the Nova Cat are like unanimous picks, I'm guessing they will be the next two heavies.

I wouldn't. I mean, the Nova Cat is right out, for the same reason the Mk II is out of the picture for now. It isn't time yet. Posted Image However, the Night Gyr? I'd still love to get my hands on that 75 ton ballistics platform with jump jets. Posted Image

Edit: I suppose it is a little concerning as it means the second heavy is probably going to be the Linebacker. Unless PGI throws a total curve ball and gives us a Thresher or Woodsman. In a toss up between Linebacker and Thresher, I'm not sure which would be worse.

Edit 2.0: Linebacker by a mile. Thresher being a battlemech is actually pretty salvageable. A high torso ballistic and laser hardpoint. Laser and missile in each arm. MASC is an option on it, as are jump jets. Huh. Interesting 60 ton battlemech. Needs more variants, though.

I think it might be the Nova Cat for the second heavy to be honest... I mean, we are talking about a mech that will probably be announced end of June, and dropped in September.. that might be far enough out to start releasing some of the later mechs, no?

I mean, the Linebacker would be more boring than the Kingfisher would be.

I dunno. Maybe. If only because we already have two 65 ton mechs. Hell, I'm pretty sure I'd find the Crossbow more interesting than the Linebacker....

Edit: Interesting. Not good.

Well, when you are only allowed one choice, of course we pick our dream "reach" mech. But its not happening yet, so stop complaining and raging and just be patient.

The Night Gyr is a great mech, I'm very excited for it.

I will buy the Night Gyr. And the Firemoth. And the Nova Cat. The Bane. The Stone Rhino. The Warhammer and Maurader IIC's.

But not the Mad Cat MKII. Maybe for Cbills, but not with my hard earned.

Not mad, just think you are kind of a weirdo for doing that. Follow you every tweet? That's a lie.

Why do you even care, you don't even play this game you just want mechs to look shiny in your mechlab.

Pretty much. Everyone wants their toys but alot of us on here are willing to be patient for ours. Russ said his peace and the imp has to live with it. The Night Gyr would be a good addition and a really good powerhouse of a heavy but it isnt set into stone yet.

You know not a bad idea. let the MK2 in but as a stationary target in the testing grounds with targets painted on it. Kill what you love! event with 500 cbills for every kill!
