More like Darkwing, cuz it looks like a duck.

Thats very interesting to hear coming from the guy who straight up said he'd oppose the MK II just to be a vindictive **** to my friend. Russ's only real limiter for mechs was tech, and the MK II was winning that first vote until you showed up and started telling everyone that the timeline mattered, then everyone defaulted to the kodiak instead.

Yeah, I don't think he has that kind of sway with people.....I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the Kodiak being more of an icon in the MW series since GBL.

I watched it happen. The MK II was way in front until bishop and lastkhan asked about the timeline and russ waffled on the answer. Then one guy tells the next "oh, timeline" and suddenly the kodiak was out in front.

The only people keeping this whole thing going are them, and its entirely personal.

His constant posts in this forum constantly reminding people of the MKII whenever the subject of a new mech (and being salty every time as well) say otherwise.

Stop it guys, just stop.

I bugged Russ and Alex for the Viper for months. They made the Viper a reality... but put it in a rip off pack, for you to remember the bitterness for months.

With this new 1 chassis pack model, i'm not looking forward to any mech... Night Gyr, NovaCat, StoneRhino, FireMoth, MKII, etc, etc.. can all burn in hell.

ah, but at least you can put the blame where it belongs, the still not great nature of the Mech Pack marketing. You're not posting rants and personal attacks and making everyone into perceived enemies if they disagree with you of the perceived value vs the old Jumbo Packs, tho.

That's the difference.

This tweet?

That was against you bud, not me the reply was to you. The person they replied to is always the first on the tweet listed. You told him not to pander to me and and ignore me lol, that's petty and he told you that he tries to please everyone.

It was this tweet from Russ that provides the most relevant evidence to the Mad Cat Mk. II NOT being the next mech.

https://twitter.com/...247895007703040

Furthermore, in the town hall, he stated that he had 2 mediums and 2 heavies that he wanted to release. Is the Mad Cat Mk. II a medium or a heavy mech? No? Then guess what, it likely isn't coming until at least after those 3 more mechs get announced. That isn't my opinion, its just what is likely to happen.

You know that I voted for the Mad Cat Mk. II being the mech I wanted most, but I've already accepted I'm going to have to wait for it.

He waffled in that townhall too. He made it clear the limiting factor was tech and mechs after 3053 were fair game, just less LIKELY to be released over GOOD mechs pre 3053. You leave that one out too. You weren't being skeptical you were being an ***.

No he was pretty clear. He wanted to focus on this current time before moving on. Again if the base mechs is in the means of 3053 and has one or two variants outside of that then its okay. A mech well outside where he wants to focus on is a no go for now. Will it come?, eventually _ucking wait.

and i am an arse, a skeptical sarcastic arse.

*Comes in to check on what was once a fun thread, 'bout eighteen pages ago*

*Sees it is now Argument #472 over whether Imperius is a jackass or not, and/or whether the godforsaken Mad Cat Mk. II is on the target list.*

*Sadness*

Srsly, gaiz. Srsly. Imperius has started/hijacked, like...fifty-eight threads devoted to this already. Could we get this one back to something more worthy of discussion?

We just got* a medium, probably going to be one of the heavies next. Ye figure there's an honest shot the Night Gyr's coming in? There was once a time I thought the Arctic Cheetah was a mere pipe dream of the fanciful and those with a loose connection to reality, but Russ and co. sure showed me. If it is the Night Gyr, what do you figure the impact on the game will honestly be?

He said he had two mediums and two heavies he wanted to make in a pack. Then realized he couldn't, lots of maybes, he also said the next clan thing was going to be a omni pack and now they are gone forever. Everyone gets to post what mech they want in new mech threads so do I. I'm glad people are tired of seeing me post about it. I won't stop, trust me I won't.

See this. This **** right here is what im talking about. YOU ARE ENJOYING THIS. That is the problem I have right now.

Did it occur to you that the MK II isn't even my favourite mech? The Summoner is, and its garbage, i was backing the MK II because its a good choice for a clan assault and my friend wanted to see it in game. As far as this thread is concerned, its totally fair game. It wont be next but it will come. I drew issue however with their psychotic obsession with low podspace omnimechs.

Recall that we have one more medium to go through apparently. What if its the black lanner? Would you LIKE that?

Thats what he said at the beginning of that townhall, I posted the link numerous times afterwards when he backpeddaled on that and said not only that mechs from beyond 3053 were fair game, but if they had future tech on them he might swap it out with current tech. That makes mechs like the blood asp fair game.

he WAS clear about it, so we don't know why he wants to release two mediums and two heavies when clan assaults are suffering the most. THATS what we were pissed off about. THATS why i hate the viper.

I hope they go with the Hunstman(Nabori-nin) over the Black Lanner to be honest and the Nova Cat over the Linebacker... not super obsessed with low podspace omnis, but I do think for a 40 tonner, better to be fast then dead. We already went down that road, and now looking at the hardpoints you can do:

6cSPLs
6ERSLs 2 SRM 4s
6ERSLs 4 MGs
5 cSPL 4 MGs
5 cERMLs

So there are some options there.

Assaults, yep I agree with you we need more assaults. I want them to add

Kingfisher
Turkina
Mad Cat. Mk. II
Blood Asp

Give them to me. They can tell them that I took them by force.

He waffled a bit on the town hall before last. This time around he was extraordinarily firm. I was impressed that Russ could be so clear. He said, in no uncertain terms, that they will consider a time jump only some time TBD after phase 3, and until then they want to explore the mechs currently available in the timeline. Period. End of story.

As such, this invalidates the Nova Cat, as much as I want it, the Mk II, which would be a fantastic assault mech, or the Blood Asp, which also would be a fantastic assault mech. Considering the thread title is NEXT CLAN MECHS, and the above mechs are outside of the window of viable options, no. No, the Mk II is not a valid mech to bring up in this thread.

A good mech. But not for this thread's purposes.

Yea, he flopped at the town hall before the current one. Then he put his foot down. Do not twist it and also be as ignorant as Imp.

I don't mind if you say you want it. Don't care at all. There is a sliver of a chance he will release it before then, but I seriously doubt it, and recommend not getting hopes up, it will only bring you angst.

Not near as much as predicted.

We already have the Humanoid, able to pack ungodly firepower for weight 75 ton Orion IIC. Gyr will have probably, slightly better hitboxes (though if remotely true to lore art, a either a massive CT du to the R2D2 dome hear, or easy to pop STs) and no real reason to suspect heavy quirks.

So it will have guns. And lack the agility and twist capability of a large engine. And no ability to upgrade to the "sweet spot" between a 325 and 350. People have consistently cried the TBR is over engined, but reality is, that massive engine is a huge component of it's actual success, same as the Stormcrow.
