ah, but at least you can put the blame where it belongs, the still not great nature of the Mech Pack marketing. You're not posting rants and personal attacks and making everyone into perceived enemies if they disagree with you of the perceived value vs the old Jumbo Packs, tho.

That's the difference.

Until PGI comes up with a good single chassis pack model (like what you suggested in another thread).... I don't give a Flying F about any future mech in this game.

I'm sending a tweet per day or two to Russ regarding this. At this rate, He is gonna either block me or gonna give a big NO response... or... maybe he will see the better option.

Well I was going to say it makes you a ****, and I do not regret blocking you on twitter. Go back 3 or 4 months and recall that we used to have plenty of normal conversations here, and you'll know that I am not beyond reasoning with, you've simply decided that much. I have nothing to say to you.

It WOULD be awesome, but ID RATHER HAVE THE NOVA CAT, and THAT IS WHY THE TIMELINE SUCKS.

So holding your line, being constructive in your approach and not insisting everyone hates you?

Seems reasonable.

And through this course of action, what do you hope to achieve?

Eh. Different roles. The Nova Cat would be better for laser boating and missile boating. The Night Gyr, using Prime-C variants, can already fit up to 6 ballistics (1 and 3 in the arms, 1 per side torso) and doesn't have the crit space for the DHS boating required for energy. As such, I view them as two distinct takes on the pocket-assault mech. I want them both. One for the dakkafix, one for the pewpews.

annoying people so they are as unhappy in life as he is because RUSS LED HIM ON!!!!!!!!

Which might work if we hung our entire life and being around having one single stompy robot added to a silly video game, lol.

I know I don't, so it's certainly not working on me. It is giving me opportunity to dig up all kinds of fun GIFs, though!

As far as this thread is concerned, its totally fair game. It wont be next but it will come. I drew issue however with their psychotic obsession with low podspace omnimechs.

Accept that the Mad Cat Mk II is not a vaild discussion for this thread, the title is clearly written "The NEXT Clan Mech (Post 4/1/16)". We know that there is 1 medium and two heavies to go before they change eras for Clan mechs. The Mk II being an Assualt class, and one that should be 5t lighter to be more efficient, is not inline to be next. I have delt with personal attacks from both you and Impy for just disagreeing with you. You Biggz went so far as to call me basement dewlling neck beard, despite the fact I never went personal with either of you, I have been professional, diplomatic and polite with both of you over this. Hell CK16 can vouch for it, I've been talking with him regularly with refining his Mk II desing.

Now if either of you would like to offer suggestions as to what the next medium and two heavies are, as well as their merits and flaws I would be happy to do so in a professional and courteous manner, untill then eff off with you personal issues.

Daddy wants the Nova Cat C though...3x UACs and LPLs.... might have to switch to ERLLs or downgrade to a triple UAC2, to make it work...but was always my Nova Cat of choice in MW4. (though I think I actually ended up using 2 ERLLs because I hated pulse lasers in MW4)

Not near as much as predicted.

We already have the Humanoid, able to pack ungodly firepower for weight 75 ton Orion IIC. Gyr will have probably, slightly better hitboxes (though if remotely true to lore art, a either a massive CT du to the R2D2 dome hear, or easy to pop STs) and no real reason to suspect heavy quirks.

So it will have guns. And lack the agility and twist capability of a large engine. People have consistently cried the TBR is over engined, but reality is, that massive engine is a huge component of it's actual success, same as the Stormcrow.

The difference is the fact that it is an omni means it can have a MUCH BETTER hardpoint layout than the Onion IIC.

It can do:

3 UAC10S
4 UAC5S
2 Gauss, 4 cERMLs
1 Gauss, 2 cLPL, 3cERMLs
4 LRM20s (I guess...) with artemis and head ERLL and CT TAG (just came up with that one on the fly, don't plan on running it)

So yeah, none those builds are quite possible on the Onion, and running the Gauss in the ST is kind of a drag for it, so I definitely see it occupying a different and better role than the Onion does.

Biggz, this is the reason why he gets so much flak, until he gets his precious, he will rant and rave until everyone on this forum is tired of seeing it and he potentially gets banned for just being plain unproductive and irritating. He brings it on himself. There is a difference between stating you want a your favorite mech (like I did with the Viper) and spamming it in practically every thread that remotely has anything to do with it.

Possibly, but i think people will rue it's survivability, compared to the TBR. Reality of a locked 64 kph mech .... meh.

Recall, it has 20 LOCKED DHS; in a small engine. It has free crit space as follows:
H-1
CT-0
RT-1
LT-1
RA-6
LA-4
RL-2
LL-2

So where do you plan to pack all them big guns?

Oops..source listed them under fixed equip.. DHS are not fixed...time to whip out the actual TRo, lol.

It would be really great to have both.. and I'm sure we will. Having a good Clan 70 tonner would be awesome.

Well with that much firepower it should have some weakness. 70 isnt THAT bad.

Thats his prerogative, not mine. He's hardly the first person to not get along with people on the internet, so why he's become such an enemy for you is beyond me.

Orion IIC is trash. The Night Gyr would be an absolutely punishing heavy.

A: A handful of staple mechs now leaves PLENTY for later, both future and past mechs.
B: If you're settling for mech releases as the only content releases, then you're letting PGI get away with selling you nothing. Making new mechs is relatively easy. Making a PVE campaign, maybe not so much.

edit:

this is not mechwarrior 2 mercs. This game will never capture the "new tech/new mechs released" experience because this game is supposed to have 1/1 time. Mercs was singleplayer with time jumps.
