At least the Ultimate pack with 6 mechs is $10 cheaper than the full top tier $80 Origin pack, giving you 4 different mechs with 4 variants each for a total of 16 mechs.

I'm disappointed with this, but at the same time, 3 of the mechs in Wave III weren't original Omnimechs, so it bothers me a little less I suppose.

I would like to thank PGI for having decided to actually LOWER the cost of acquiring a mech ( at least at alacarte level )

In the past, you could only get 2standards + 1hero for $55 at alacarte pricing for clan omni mech

Now it's 3standards + 1hero for $35 for clan omni mech.

That's an improvement!

But it's still $5 more than if a person purchased a full pack at 120 ( $30 per mech)

Still, I rather choice at a reasonable price, then being "encouraged" to buy an entire pack with potentially at least one mech that I would not have like, like the executioner in wave 3.

Good move PGI. May we never do 4 packs again.

Viper is one of my favorite chassis. I've been bugging Russ and Alex for months now to make it a reality.

At that time I didn't know that this ridiculous 1 chassis packs with 20$ / 40$ / $15 are here to stay.

20$ extra for a 40 ton (S) mech? ... A copy paste from a variant you already have?
this is an omni mech ffs. there is no this variant or that variant... there is no 3 different variants. it just 1.

I'm a collector and I only buy mech packs for their special Cbill variant (and that is the variant i always play, even if it is the worst). I've dropped more than 1K on this game.
This 1 chassis packs (specially the collector's price) is a big slap in the face to me. the 20$ basic pack is fine (neglecting the fact that you can get all of those later for cbills).

NO WAY IN HELLL i'm paying 40$ for a 40 ton (S) mech, and NO WAY i'm paying 15$ for a 40 ton hero.

The really odd thing is that with most of the other payment models PGI has used, price was a variable of the weight of the chassis. This model makes assaults a pretty good deal (I bought 4 kodiaks for $35 about the price of 1 hero assault), but mediums seem rather overpriced. If they try to sell lights at this cost, I have a hard time imagining anybody buying them. I like the idea of single mech packs better than multi-packs, but I do think the price is a bit steep for a medium or light mech.

I'm also of the opinion that while the single-mech packs are a good idea, the pricing setup is pretty bad.

Plus, as Navid correctly points out, this is an omni -- only the -C has a torso hardpoint, so all of the others are functionally the same, eventually.
