really do think the shoulders need scaling down a bit, both side torsos seem overly large for it.

The Atlas has more 'structure'. Like 20 tons worth of 'structure' more than the Kodiak.

So after the kodiak has destroyed all of the atlas's weapons it will take it a extra 10 seconds to kill it.

Its not smaller.

Some parts of it are the same size as the atlas roughtly, and other parts are smaller.

Overall, it's smaller..... not by much.....but it doesn't have to bee much to affect gameplay.

It isn't smaller. Overall, it's exactly the same size. Volumetric scaling.

Also, the Atlas has agility quirks, large ones. It'll twist faster than even an up-engined KDK, accel/decel faster (except MASC KDK). Massive structure quirks matter, too.

I'm hoping some of them are arm hitbox.

I'm going to call the large center portion of the pauldrons (big flat area) as ST, and the wedge shaped regions going out over the shoulder proper as arm hitbox.

That's my thinking too, hope its correct.

The shoulders and torso look like they should be a little thicker front to back and the legs slightly beefier compared to the concept art and published blueprint image.

Something about the waist and hips looks a bit off to me. I guess if the program distorts the image a bit then it may be that. It just looks odd.

I guess I will see in a little over a month when they show up in my stable.

It could very well be the distorted perspective from that program, but it doesn't look nearly as aggressive as I thought it would based on the concept art. Granted, the concept art shows it in motion, so that could also be a factor. From what I can see, the shoulders look a little off. Actually, most of it looks a little off, but again it could just be the perspective. Either way, I'm looking forward to it. I primarily pilot big assaults, so it'll be nice to have another 100 tonner to drive.

This is not the fully worked out model. Jonty said it take another two days to complet it before it gets into the final painjob texturing. So thats all work in progress - just a sneak peek.

Even if it's a sneak peak, we need to iron out the issues NOW before it makes release.

Less chance of issues in the future, meaning more focus on other mwo projects.

They work on the mechs in the (mech equivilant) T-pose. That is not necessarily how the mech will stand in game. This was very evident in a lot of other sneak peeks where things like chicken walkers tend to stand way taller than they do in game. Now, being fully humanoid shaped, it's probably not far from how it'll stand, but don't expect exactly that.
