OK, the skill that increases your heat threshold by 10%, It does someting that it shouldn't. I first found it odd on my Dire Wolf as when I fired 4 LPL before unlocking the skill I would get 40 something% heat and after the skill, I would get 86%.

Now in my 4 PPC Awesome, the same happens, I would get 45% heat before skill and now I get 86%. Not that I am against this extreme form of ghost heat but it seems to come from a bug,

Just to comment ... but 4 LPL or 4 PPC fired together SHOULD have ghost heat. Are you saying that ghost heat did not appear to be working before you acquired the skill?

Either that or it gets a huge increase after the skill is unlocked. But what you say makes sense. It probably wasn't working pre skill.

Yeah, firing the PPCs in groups of two carefully, yelds me the same heat as pre skill firing the for in quick succession. So it appears ghost heat was not working pre skill

Wait wait wait....so ghost heat does not work before heat thresh skill is activated?

If this is true it has quite some consequences: Newbies will die even quicker!

I just tried a 6 PPC Mauler ( I have not touched any Maulers) so they are unbasic and I alpha once in training grounds and instantly went into shutdown (for about 30 seconds)...

Fire One PPC on Forest Colony = 15 percent Heat Scale
Fire Two PPC on Forest Colony = 30 percent Heat Scale
Fire Three (engaging Ghost Heat) PPC on Forest Colony = 66 percent Heat Scale

So Ghost Heat is working for me as intended

Maybe it depends on the Mechs? MY Direwhales are all or almost Mastered and I"m not going to fork over millions of C Bills to test this theory..

I do not have any Awesomes.

What map? Maybe Ghost Heat works on training Grounds but not the actual game?

I"m not calling the OP a liar... just stating my findings.

Was this on the testing ground or in game? In game ghost heat is different than testing ground.

An example of.this when they removed.the ac2 ghost heat the training ground still had it until the next update.

No worries, no offense taken.
I am also only posting my findings. To be clear, I got these results in quickplay. Map seemed to be irrelevant. Got them with both my direwolf prime and my PPC Awesome. I can retry this again once I buy second awesome but it is going to be a while. I have 4 lpl and 2 uac5 on my direwolf prime and 4 ppc and 3 ml on the awesome 8Q.

So what I'm hearing is: Go get an unbasic'ed Direstar, and alpha people everywhere without insta-death. Sounds like some fun stuff Posted Image

If this is true, I have a feeling it may have to do with the way the mechs are compiled after building them. I also think it may also have to do with quirks. There is probably a variable or part of the hierarchy of objects that is not being written properly. So when a Dwolf with no quirks or quirks of a certain type is compiled and written to the server there is no conflict with how the skill tree is added into equation, but when quirks are added in the something may be dropped or not written until the skill tree is applied.

You can blame it on PGI and bad coding, but many times the nature of optimizing/patching for so many different computers, server and network issues makes it easy to create one problem while fixing another. If everyone had one computer with one operating system and all servers used all the same hardware and software, we could then blame PGI for everything.

Or this could be a troll post to see how many people will buy an Awesome.

I just tested this on Quick Play.... Ghost Heat still works (this time the map was Polar Highlands)...

Considering the OP has it happening when he fires 4 weapons, this is actually "2spooky4heat".
