^ Sounds like you are playing an Advanced Zoom sniper mech, the most worthless type of mech cause even LRM boats can easily secure KMDDs

Actually, I was using a Brawler/Support hybrid.

I never use LRMs and I never have problems with KMDDs.
Neither understand LRM-user nor KMDD-problem types.

Funny thing is that rifleman is the drag for me. They are definitely not a brawler or skirmish mech in my hands. In an event they are useless for support fire, because everyone is cutting in and out hoping to get that kmdd. If I can get those last 4 kmdd, maybe I will throw 20 at the war hammer base pack. That feels like a big if though.

Edit for content. I had no problems with Mads or archers.

I've found dual AC20 is the best way to get KMDDs with a Rifleman. BLAM BLAM

OMG can't buy a win tonight with the Marauders ... just had a match where one of our assaults got 6 kills ... 3 per team. Including me. :(

Thanks for the free stuff PGI!

Done in 36 tier-2-matches, 20 of them in Spider-5V, rest in Spider 5K (with much better avg. results for the „K“: 268 vs. 209 match score). Breakdown:

5V: match score avg. 209 (148|382), KMDD 7 in 20 to a max. of 1, DMG avg. 227 (38|412), Assists: 5,4 (1|11]
5K: match score avg. 268 (46|363), KMDD 17 in 16 to a max. of 3, DMG avg. 344 (122|553), Assists: 4,6 (0|8]

As already mentioned, KMDD sucked, but got it anyway by adapting/designating a mech to it - i like that tbh, being forced out of my comfort zone - i bet others did´nt like the undying SRM4 & ML Stalker as much Posted Image

What i did´nt like was the recent raise from 10 KMDD to 20 KMDD .... and then again, at least it was´nt the VIctor challenge lol

I can agree with you a bit. KMDD makes you have to put the most damage on a mech, instead of getting the killing blow. It has helped to stop some of the kill stealing that happens.

I did however have a match where I almost downed a friendly enforcer. Odd that two point blank lb10x didn't do well on his side torso. Happens when you jump in to steal kills I guess.

...is there any chance I could ask you to try it on a few Mechs, and tell me if you find the same effect as I have on any other Mechs?

Ouch. I hope whoever did that got punished by the MatchMaker severely. :(

I think I just got reminded why I watch where I shoot. I actually feel bad if I do any more than 1 point of Team Damage.

I completed the challenge last night with each of the Alpha Lance mechs. It took me 4 days ... one day for each chasis. The KMDD was probably the most challenging aspect. Interestingly enough, the Marauder was the best weapons platform for a completing that requirement. Especially the 5D with 2 SRM 6 w/artemis. Many Mechwarriors knew what it was like to be roasted by the MAD-5D that day, I can tell you!

Anyway, I really enjoyed the tournament. My thanks to PGI well I am very happy with all the reward items comma perhaps for future tournaments they will consider a unique cockpit item as part of the grand prize. For example a cockpit flag with the letter A and the lance tac symbol on it would have been kinda cool for this one.

With you there, but when they drop down right in front of you as you hit the strike. It was unavoidable.

Finished up the Marauder last night, getting the 5 wins was surprisingly tricky, as we saw plenty of 12-2 type stomps. Ditching the AC20 on BH2 in favor of 2xLPL helped. LPL/ML is boring but it works.

Anyway the best part of the event was that it gave me an incentive to try the quad AC5 Black Widow. That thing is pretty fun :) After 6 matches in it, I had all the Warhammer challenges beat, except match score. For match #7 I needed 16 match score to finish it off ... had another 3KMDD and 650+ dmg game... and now I want Maulers.

As a new player, I really appreciated this event. Thanks PGI!

The rewards, especially the colors, convinced me to buy all four Mech packs. I had a great time completing the challenges and have a new favorite Mech, the Warhammer! I probably need a billion C-bills to properly outfit all these mechs but will enjoy the grind and can't wait til the next event like this one. Can a few Radar Deprivation modules be the prize next time?? I spent quite some time on a certain snowy map watching fireworks this weekend. Posted Image

It's a little bit of a pain, but you can swap out a single Radar Deprivation module between matches when you switch mechs. I think I have two shared between 70+ mechs.

You're right that it is a bit of a pain to swap em around. I only have one Radar Deprivation so I've got to swap it almost every match if I want to be optimal. I'd like to get a few so I can at keep heroes and a few favorites ready to drop.

Modules, colors, and cockpit item rewards are great.. more more more!

This is entirely a personal preference thing, but I do find I have a bit more fun if I'm not switching mechs every single match. Part of it is just because it takes longer and longer to save changes the more mechs you have, but I find you also get better results playing a few matches in a row with the same loadout. You learn each mech and its "personality" a bit better, and that seems to be a good way to learn.

Switching mechs or changing loadouts every game makes it hard to tell what's working, since you have no solid point of reference.

If I'm levelling up a bunch of mechs I might just play each until I get the x2 first victory of the day XP bonus, and then move on to the next. But that's something I do purely to farm XP, not for enjoyment or improvement :)
