It was nice to see that completing the lance challenges for two of the Classics also completed the personal challenge. Well thought out. I'm also happy that the Hero mechs weren't a requirement, as neither the Black Widow or Legend-Killer really do anything for me.
Seeing the brackets for the other two Classics incomplete almost convinced me to spring for the two mechs I don't own. Lack of time today means that completing a third mech is not likely.
So, great work PGI. You get a "Paws Approved" sticker for this event.
Now to figure out what Hanging item to pair woth my new warhorn and creepy clapping monkey. Oh, and which mech to put it in...
(And if you could find it in your schedule to go a light mech focused challenge in the near future, my Locusts and I would be thrilled.)

Got it all done, got all my stuff, offline life even tried to mess with me. Still glad the event is as well-planned as it has been, and I will look forward to more like this. Thanks for both the rewards and the event, PGI. See you all at the next event.
Now to see about that other pilot who I'm hoping should be able to do it in time...

BH2 still has it's merrits. 3x LPL + 3x ML or Gauss + 6 ML (STD on each one) isn't bad at all. I definitely didn't want to sound too pessimistic here.
I run my bh2 with 5 med pulse and 2 large pulse. It is a beast on the battlefield. It all depends on how you play it.

Started with my personal favorite, the Warhammer - I just love the tankiness and damage the Black Widow can do, it is by far my favorite hero mech at the moment and currently my #1 mech preference!
Onto the Marauders, great getting back into these. I forgot how tanky they are in head on charges, fun with JJ too, had some sneaky kill steals (don't judge me ) from JJ over obstacles to poptart, also found out you can JJ onto the Atlas in Viridian bog, which is a cool way to get up the central mound from the other side!!
Then onto the Archers, had not levelled these yet so was a bit more interesting. Favorites are the Tempest and 5W, fun mech to run but getting into squishy territory here.. ..and for some reason always get polar when I pick the SRM boat..
Finally the Rifleman, definitely the least favorite. It looks great, and can perform well.. ..but generally for the tonnage and what you can get, its pretty average.. ..deep in squishy territory by this point.
At the end of the day though, running 4 hero mechs with premium time earned a lot of $$$$$

Often enough I was the only Light `mech not only in my team, but the whole match.

dastardly.
three challenges complete can't bring myself to buy the archer though.

That said, it IS a shame they can't shine as the "supreme LRM machine of the IS" ...but personally me and a lancemate have found them far from useless. *shrugs* as always, YMMV

Funny thing is that rifleman is the drag for me. They are definitely not a brawler or skirmish mech in my hands. In an event they are useless for support fire, because everyone is cutting in and out hoping to get that kmdd. If I can get those last 4 kmdd, maybe I will throw 20 at the war hammer base pack. That feels like a big if though.
Edit for content. I had no problems with Mads or archers.

Value wise this has to be the most amount of MC PGI has ever given away, these paints cost 1000 MC each.
