Have been playing for a bit.

Currently running around with a King Crab.

If I were to get a mech pack? What would you recommend?

If you are talking about Mastery packs. The Stalker is a good buy if you like assaults, and the Misery is a great mech in my opinion. I also like the Atlas which comes with the Boarhead, another mech I've heard good things about. but have heard others saying mixed things about it. I don't play competitive so my perceptions may differ.

If you are referring to the website mech packs, and I am going to assume you like assaults since you have the Crab. I'd say either the top tier of Resistance Pack II for the Mauler, which also gets you the great Black Knight, as well as the Crab both of which I enjoy very much, and since you like big crab, maybe you'll like mini crab.

The Zeus is good as well, but I don't like the other mechs in that pack, so I personally wouldn't suggest you buy the top tier (even though I did because I am a collector).

Those are my suggestions, keep in mind I've only been playing for a few months, and I am not super hardcore. So hopefully someone who is will be along shortly to give you a perspective from that angle!

What Mechs have you played, and what did you like about them?

If the King Crab is your favorate Mech then we are very diferant types of players so my opinions will be useless for you, however if you are after general good sugestions I do not think you can go wrong with the Marauder or Warhammer, $20 for 3 varients, with a cbill bonus varient available for an extra 15 for the Hero or 20 for a cbill bonus varient of one of the first 3, but also a bunch of extras including more premium time and cockpit items.

One thing to consider with mech packs/mastery bundles is to use the in-game store and figure out which variants are in the packs/bundles, and what they come with in stock loadouts. Better to get stuff like XL engines, Double heatsinks, Endo steel, FF armor and Artemis fire control as part of the mech than having to pay for it later to upgrade them. Also look over the quirks the mechs might have at the current time. You cannot predict what the future might bring but you can at least limit your disappointment with certain mechs from the start (the cheap cataphract in the mastery bundle has an WAY undersized engine and is as slow as a kingcrab as a result).
