Just use your "DAD" voice in combination with a hefty dose of cheer leading.
It actually works.

Example 1 - DAD Voice: "UAV over Bravo 3 shoot that damn thing down now!"
As you can see a clear and concise commands was given.
Example 2 - Cheer Voice: "Haha good kill Pugster97234 bet dat sucka so mad he peed his pantaloons."
Be congratulatory and a witty quip will put a smile on anyone's face.
Also call the players name make him or her your new best friend.

Doesn't seem very popular but I scatter during pug games. Truth is I don't care to much about winning. I'm out to have fun or test a mech out. What Im looking for is 1v1 . I try to find the other solo pug player to kill. Pug murder balls don't do it for me anymore.

All of them? All the time?

Yes, thats why we have the solo queue. If you want to take command, join or create a group and be competitive. Or do you want your casuals to play in the group queue?

IMO you should only gain Cbills on wins. But that is a bit extreme for most, so I'll cave and say match score but game objectives should count more for match score than kills/damage in objective based game modes.

That would kill this game outright. Why should I be punished with 0 gains just because my team happened to have 1 or 2 more potatoes than the other team, or even 1 more disconnect or AFK than them? You think the grind's bad now - which it is - what you're proposing would basically cut people's earnings in half and kill the game.

No idea why people are so obsessed over "winning should be all that matters" as if this is actual warfare. It's not. It's a game where you're tossed in an arena with 11 other people on your team over which you have zero control. In a situation like that, individual performance MUST be rewarded, though obviously rewarded in a way that encourages teamwork and winning the game.

Dont know, majority seem to react pretty well to me...

Sure, a group of PUGs will never be an oiled team, but you realistically just cannot expect that

edit: voice, yes, text chat is ignored 90% of the time, for good reasons

Try sounding mean or sexy or... unusual. Either of the three usually helps get their attention better.

Did you use VOIP or just chat? From my experience VOIP works much better. Also, pugs tend to listen better during NA prime time since higher percentage of the pug population has fluent English.

Lucky you, mate.
I think you are the only one who pugs listen to :)

Try an accent like The B33f. A French, German or Russian accent while talking in English will surely get attention. Posted Image

I swear the past few nights I have nearly wanted to pull my hair out dropping solo queue. I give commands to the team, try to rally the team, and nothing seems to work. All these pugs just scatter to the wind. Is there a reason for this? Should I just stay in group queue to level my Mechs?

Play with them like you were playing with bots ... no brain for most of them that's all and thank the MM

You realize you are a PUG, too? So, look in the mirror, and give us the answer.

Following orders usually get me killed earlier than if I had not.

Somehow it's much easier for me to read the enemy than my own team.

I do get multiple compliments about my accent, and inquiries about where I am from. Maaaybe people listen to me better because of it, as Tri said above. Posted Image

And then there are CANTadians.

Don't be a Cantadian.

Here is a suggestion, choose a real pilot name.

I'm not going to listen to "whoflungpoo" or "Iderpsalot" or 99% of the other idiotic pilot names people choose. If you can't take a minute to come up with a realistic pilot name (one that does not end in davion, pryde, kerensky, wolf, etc) then I have no faith you have the slightest clue what you are talking about.

Is Trident a "legit" name according to your standards?

Living longer and winning the game doesn't equal each other. If I'm in an assault I will did first often and I know it's going to happen but that's want the commander needed to get his other 11 mech into position.

That may be, but dying quickly and winning I would argue are even farther apart.

The solo queue is where people who want to play solo go.

This generally means that your odds of being Captain Pugmando of the Ad-Hoc Company are low in success. Further, it also is where people who, for whatever reason cannot function in groups end up.

Combine the two and don't expect anything great when you go on comms. Just carry harder.
