I stumbled on Hero Forge a bit ago (https://www.heroforge.com/) i was wondering who else would love to see a Battletech version of this like you select your base and put equipment on it then order it in different types of materials even with a key chain connection. Think of the profits FASA, PGI, and Cataltyst Games.

Um not really sure if you know how MechWarrior and BattleMechs work, but they are not Heavy Gears from Heavy Gear 1. You can't just throw pieces on them. They are kind of fixed. You throw a weapon on them and that is the extent of your modifications. Adding a bunch of random stuff is not how a mech works. The only thing other than add weapons that you can do to a mech is.... paint it. Which you do to miniatures anyways.
I was not saying the arms and such I know that is not how it works i was talking about the weapon systems basically how the Mech bay works in this game. I haven't really played the table top more than once but I would love to be able to have my Timber Wolf for the RPG if not the battle game. I was reading up on it last night and I'm still confused as to how to do a custom weapon systems on the mechs but it would still be fun. I'm sorry if the way i wrote the original post was confusing i didn't mean changing parts like timber wolf with a catapult missile pods for the arms but being able to show my timber wolf has a Gauss rifle or PPCs or SRMs on it instead of the standard Timber Wolf Prime model would make the units fell more like your own mech going through the battle.

Different cosmetic facias ("geometries") for individual mech components which offer no change in functionality or quirks? I've thought about that. It would be cool if there were cosmetically different atlas heads, some could be styled similar to the punisher skull emblem. Others could be styled more like a cthulhu octopus head. The idea has been suggested numerous times on the forums. I don't know if it would be cost effective. Some of the existing geometries have known issues where shooting certain areas inflict zero damage. Having to model, debug and test additional model components could be more work than consumer demand could cover.
