[Fatstick]

So, there I was coming off another great mission with my Unstoppable King Crab. My build is solid. My skills have been refined. I AM MECHWARRIOR!

New orders received….

Making my way across the frozen tundra, nothing appeared on my scanners. Chances are the enemy got word of my arrival and departed with great haste. The frozen waste land was not worth the resources or their lives.

Moments later, to my surprise, a single light mech sprinted across the hills splitting our drop force. Our Bravo Lance quickly engaged the suicidal pilot, who must have been left behind by his comrades. Odd, I thought, he only fired a single missile, which harmlessly bounced off my impenetrable armor. Suddenly, a strange beacon signal appeared as the rest of my lance slowly created space between them and myself.

"INCOMING MISSILES!”

The sun grew dark and panic settled in. The shaking was relentless. The volleys of missiles were without mercy.


Yelling at my screen, "ABORT!! ABORT!! ABORT!!"

Then, turning to my wife and shouting, “I SAID ABORT!”

She looked at me with confusion, picked up her drink, and walked into the other room.

"Where are you going? DAMN IT Woman, I said, ABORT!”

Conclusion:

Microwave dinners have come a long way since my college days.

Nope, NARC is it's own beacon. regardless of you being shutdown, the beacon will still be active... you just have to wait it out.

in Mechwarrior: Living Legends, if you got hit by a PPC, friendly or enemy, it would remove the NARC effect... but not in MWO.

You can summon a friendly ECM to cover you, that will break the lock.

I'm not sure if you can summon ECM mechs like familiars in Mechwarrior Online. Though that would be interesting.

Sure you can, you just have to say the name of the pilot backwards 3 times while standing in front of a mirror, and they'll appear behind you in their Mech.

Probably shooting you 'accidentally' in the rear while blocking your retreat as you try to back up
