When MWO started I assumed we would be able to save our load outs in MechLab so you did not have to pencil and paper every load out you liked or go to smurfys to rebuild a new one.

Its been 3 years and still no savable load outs in mechlab if you would like to see this feature put into MWO you the community needs to reply to this topic and make PGI aware it is a feature you want.

I know I personnaly would like to see this feature added to MWO.Posted Image

P.S and this also needs to be added to MWO: Additionally: Multiple CW drop decks would be nice, too

It would be nice for sure but i think it would be tricky to implement. should it only pull parts for you unused stock or should it take parts off of other mechs or should it buy them new? If you only xl 315 you need is on another build should it pull it off or ask you to drop the cbills on a new one. I think it is fairly easy to rebuild a mech in a small amount of time and most of my time in the mech lab is trying to find that one module or engine i need so the build saver would be tearing apart my other builds that may or may not be saved so it just seems like more trouble then its worth.

Drop decks need more time to switch up mechs or multiple decks you can swap easily, saved load out would be great for new players in CW so they could save one high heat and one low heat build on 4 mechs and then use the drop deck and loadout saves to switch between the 2 set ups without needing to own 8 mechs and 8 of each module needed for the decks. I'm just not sure a save/load loadout system would work with the current inventory system.

Would love to see that. The only issues I can foresee are cases where you sold/used the equipment in another mech, but it could just give a warning about it.

Would you like to buy this equipment for x.xxx.xxx c-bills?"
Yes (buy and equip the components)/No (Cancel)

Stripping other mechs would be ok if you own 5 mechs, but a mess if you own 100.

A better solution would be to store the equipment as a ready-to-mount configuration rather than drawing from inventory- that way you can't ever run into a situation where you've saved a config but can't use it because you're missing one or more parts. You configure it as usual, save as "loadout A" or whatever, and the equipment remains reserved for that chassis until you remove it or sell the chassis. Then you do the same for loadouts B, C, D, etc. Then you have four or however many complete loadouts saved and reserved for that variant to use. A little menu could pop up when you mouse over the variant's image in the 'Mech selection screen to allow you to quickly pick a loadout before you drop.

You would be unable to load more than one configuration of the same variant in, say, a CW drop deck, unless you actually owned more than one of the 'Mech. Likewise, all of your configurations for that variant would remain locked if you exit a match early.

Some really great ideas I only hope a MOD or DEV reads this topic and implements some of these great ideas into the game. Keep up the posts so PGI gets the hint we would want this in MWO or the topic does not get buried under 1000 other topics.

I guess I'm just lazy. Once I find a build I like, I just keep it that way. Removes the need to save the loadout, as it's already "saved".

*shrugs*

Of course, I have been known to pirate the engine out of a build if I need one, but it's fairly easy to put back and go at that point.

It would be cool to have saved drop decks, if CW ever became relevant again and somehow worth playing.

Its been almost 4 years and we still cannot save multiple load-outs in the mechlab for use again when we don't want to build a mech from scratch I just don't understand why PGI does not make this work like it did in MechWarrior2-Mechwarrio4 Mercenaries?

I think EVE online pulls the missing components on a saved loadout from other ships and gives a warning about it. Don't quote me on that, though.

I only have three mechs (9 variants) and it's already a mess.

Even if it doesn't get the missing components from other mechs, it would be useful, if nothing else, to remember exactly what build you were using on that mech. When you're eliting and trying different builds as a new player with no money you're not just pulling engines, but weapons, dhs, baps, tags.... so you then have to remember what mech used what component. I already have Li Song's mechlab but it should be a feature ingame. At least they should let us save the loadout, even if then you have to go and strip the components yourself from different mechs (it could even inform you if you have that component in the inventory or in other mech)

Id go with this and if you select NO it loads the mech with the equipment you have only, so that way you can save and then strip another mech if you want for the remaining items.

Yes, please. I definitely have more than one 'mech that would benefit from this. It's especially annoying if you get down to the nitty-gritty and have to figure out where you stripped those 6 points of armor from.

I just strip out all my mechs so i just have to see the invalid text on the thumbnail to see which mech is ready. Savable mech load outs would be nice since I wouldn't have to keep track of 80+ mech in a note book with old school way with pen and paper.

Well because we want the stock button the save and load button for an loadout would be very helpful, or other "helpers" like - max armor.

everything is saved, loadout and modules maybe even cockpit & camo - if you don't have it you have to buy it

It should be easier to swap components between mechs. Right now to move for example an XL300 engine you have to: select the mech with the XL300 engine, open the mechlab, strip the engine, save the mech, click ok on the warning, go to the main mechlab screen, then select the other mech, open the equipment list, select the XL300 engine, equip the mech with the engine and save.
I'd like the possibility to open both mechs equipement at the same time, on the left and right part of the screen, and swap elements between them. With one action I could drag and drop the equipment between the two mechs...

I want the ability to strip all modules off all mechs with a single click so I don't have to go module-hunting through my near-100 and counting mechs to find that one module I wanted.
