I never saw the show when I was a kid, but I had most of the toys, since I played battletech since I was like... 8? Been about 20 years now. Ah, one could say it was a wasted youth, but they'd be wrong.

I think a 3d printer like figure prints, might do OK with mwo. The trick is licensing. With all the different activity just recently though, perhaps some fashion of collector scale offerings could do well.

anyone remember that insanely expensive MadCat made in that huge scale when the whole clan thing was still quite new? I think it was in 1/24 or something and ran around 300 US$. But it looked so gorgeous!
Also, there was a Panther Dropship made as a model kit in scale to fit the minis on the playing table, even with working bay doors!
Damn, if I had the money back then...

Fond hope is MWO is popular enough to get action figures, quite happy with regards gaming minis with IWM's BTech output

Joyride studios did some bigger mechs i have 4 of them. The rare ones seem to have quite high resale figures on e-bay

Battletech is two or three licenses: the merchandise and the video game intellectual properties. Currently Wizards of the Coast owns the base IP, for rulebooks and the like. Iron Wind Metals produces the classic tabletop figures, and apparently Piranha licensed the video game IP. They will not get merchandising unless they pay more money, or make a deal with someone who already has it.

I have the Thor, but sadly it's the only one I've ever had, no matter how much I wanted a Bushwacker. I'm also totally rewatching the cartoon at the moment. Still love that show!

I almost bought the Axman off Amazon last week... $60...
I had the Thor/Hunchback/Mauler/Bushwacker and Elemental...and my mom gave them away when I went to the army at 17.... I remind her of this every day and I'm in my 30's now.
I have a gamestop exclusive Mechwarrior - Mad Cat II that has great detail.
