[FLG 01]

It's a lot closer to the canon model - including the wide spread arms - and it brings the arm hardpoints up to cockpit-level. That's how it should have been from the beginning, even if a minimal downward angle would have been nice visually.

Yeah, unfortunately the art direction of MWO does not favour those long gentle curves. I am not bashing Alex, in fact many Mechs benefit from the more angular, industrial design. Also you can clearly see the Marauder heritage, which is good. I just would have wished for a more elongated torso and bigger arms.

On the other hand, I am perhaps overly critical since the Nightstar is a Mech I quite like. And generally I am still happy about its MWO rendition. It looks quite nice, even if it could look nicer...
Furthermore, the Steiner camo I saw in the stream was very, very nice. The -9FC will definitely sport the Lyran Guards colours, but the -9J will be pristinely white.

I am both happy for and proud of TheArisen for getting his Nightstar. You fought to have the mech in the game and to get fixed. Not once did you play into to the quitter's mentality of that, "The Nightstar doesn't look like the artwork, so I am canceling my pre-order!" crap like other people did. You stuck in and fought hard and PGI listened, and now the Nightstar is finally getting its arms. So because of that, I have more respect for you now than those quitters who canceled their pre-orders for that reason alone.After all, it's better to fight for something rather than nothing at all and give up. Now I can name four people who got honored with their wanted mechs (Bishop, CK16, Sarah, and you now). So enjoy this moment, you have earned it.

*Cough* Now for my actual opinion.
I'll wait for it to come out for Ceebs before picking it up (as much as i love the Van Gogh's camo on the (S) variant, it ain't worth the dosh for me)
For the arms? I didn't really mind the slight downward bend. I think it looked better that way (and i'm one of those people that prefer form over function).
Now the animations? Ugh... Well... It seems they spent more time animating the clan mechs than the IS ones, because both the Osiris and Nightstar (and Uziel previously) have pretty awful-to-mediocre animations.

Thanks I appreciate it. I'm still in shock it happend. Like others have said I don't think it turned out in game as pretty or ideal as fan art made it but it's still really epic and I look foreward to piloting it. I think it'll surprise a lot of ppl esecially after the arms got raised. I do think the arms look better at an angle as the modeler seems to ha e modeled it that way but I'm happy with it and I'm sure it'll grow on ppl.

Yeah the bounce like the KC was weird. I hoped for a more graceful run, maybe more like an Ostrich's run but I don't think they'd change it now
