Okay, well in any case, how likely do you guys actually think it is that we will get this mech? I've thought it was cool since someone brought it up on these forums, but I just figured it was too obscure that it wouldn't make it high on the priority list. Do you guys think there is a chance we will actually see it?
We've gotten several mechs that weren't realyl "Prom queens".
Honestly dunno anytime I heard people clamor for Kintaros, TBH, or Spiders or Cicadas. It's actuallyalways been a pretty popular Mech in TT circles, because any dual Gauss mech is. TT it was a beast. MW circles, not as well known, as since MW4 was mixtech, things like the mektek Stone Rhino outshone it.
I would not be shocked if it wasn saved for the timejump though either, since aside from very rare examples even in the ComGuards, it was essentially extinct until 3058.
My personal choice would be the Gunslinger, which, while lighter, has the same speed in the base version, JJs and a lot more (and high mounted) Energy Hardpoints.
2 Gauss with 7 energy, 5 of which are high mounted, JJ, ECM and it's in the sweet spot for assaults where it still packs reasonable weight engines and 1 ton JJs.

That's the Assault I would spend money on. (Well, that or a Warhammer IIC for clans)
That said, Nightstar is a serious machine, overall.
