It does sound very good. A little concerned that it wouldn't be XL friendly though, judging by its nose.

Eh, MADs are surprisingly so, with a similar geometry. The issue is if you side strafe them, but this mech, it's arms actuall cover a lot of it's side profile.

Okay, well in any case, how likely do you guys actually think it is that we will get this mech? I've thought it was cool since someone brought it up on these forums, but I just figured it was too obscure that it wouldn't make it high on the priority list. Do you guys think there is a chance we will actually see it?

Lot's of mechs have been added that aren't iconic. The main purpose of this thread is to drum up support & following because that's the key to getting added.

Also, what Bishop said. Hopefully it gets added sooner rather then later but we'll see. If it got enough support it could even make it late this year/early next.

Exactly, it should be able to spread the DMG around quite nicely.

Brubaker would be my first choice, but truth be told, being a Dragoon Regimental commander, hers would be equipped with Clan Tech.

Of course, so would Jamison's Misery. So that really is not lock.

You know, I'm pretty fond of the Falconer idea you had that I ran with.

Hardpoint-wise, they are not particularly gifted, with two of them being identical:

Because of ghetto ISTech, you can only put a single slot energy weapon on each arm if you carry a Gauss there.

The most interesting variant is the 9SS which sadly uses FutureTech (may mean a no go).

EDIT: fixed the chart

Huh? Unless im missing something, thats a math fail. If an arm has Shoulder, UAA and LAA it has 9 slots. Gauss is 7 slots, so that leaves two slots on the version with LAAs and 3 on the versions without. The only way there would only be 1 slot free is if it had hands.. and it doesnt. Edit: nevermind it does have hands. WTF.

IS does need another 95 tonner, and Bishops concept is pretty damn shmexy.

It's quite similar to KGC in terms of hardpoints, only better.

I'm not a big light pilot but if people will support this mech, then absolutely.

Don't forget the 380xl & JJ variants! :)

The JJ variant has neither hands nor lower arm actuators.

Neither of those exist in any way in the current timeframe. The Nightstar would be justified because ComStar has some.

not sure what makes either terribly attractive either, but hey, won't complain if we see all 3! (and if it's 3053, close enough to 3055, in most cases) Albatross did make it's first appearance in 3053, Cerberus is 1 year out..... rather have the GUN-1ERD Gunslinger, but it would require some "P" work. (2ERD could swap C3 for Command Console and 2 tons? and ER MLs for normal)

Add a Missile variant, maybe? Definitely a little bit of hardpoint inflation.

So, it'll be more tanky than the Marauder with decent shield "arms"? I'm okay with this.

I'd actually pay for that mech using Krigg's concept ( with or without retractable arms ;) )

You know, I quite agree. The more the merrier, especially the Gunslinger.

A variant that swaps the ballistics for missiles would be interesting, as long as it got 3 or 4 missile HPs.

According to my unit's lore expert, there are no Nightstars until they restart production in 3058. :(

I wouldn't complain if they added it though.

Addition of it due to its weapon placement would make all other assaults obsolete no ?

Great looking mech though, and like the unofficial art better
