"Okay a few items: yes the map will be reset and your contracts will be reset. Units will stay intact"

Well that's good news.

Pity that I forked out nearly 20m CB to break my units contract in time for the patch just yesterday. The quality of PGI's (mis)information system is truly frustrating at times.

You know what pisses me off? That the game touts you as a mercenary, but the very mechanics which allow you to act like a mercenary are being revoked, rumor has it.

It will cost an asinine amount of money to add new people to your unit, it will cost money to switch sides, and the fact that Mech Bays are being removed from the reward listings for Faction Warfare pisses me off.

Why the hell would this game prevent people from swapping factions to take advantage of better deals across the universe if we're supposed to do exactly that?

Yeah another PGI FAIL. Seeing as PGI didnt consider this and units / players did, most already paid to break contract in anticipation of the 20th. They needn't even bother now. Just goes to show the lack of planning, foresight and ineptitude at the company.

Yep, would be sharpening my pitchfork if this was real money, fortunately I have plenty of Cbills so I don't care but it's the principle. Russ could have easily said they would be resetting contracts weeks ago without letting anything out of the bag. Instead as usual they leave everything until the last minute and just piss people off. It seems almost deliberate at times, rather than just a lack of planning.

Upon checking the unit coffers this morning after the patch, it would appear that PGI did indeed refund the break contract fee.

Well done PGI.
