Timber Wolf with any combination of streaks, medium/large lasers and either a UAC or LBX.
Catapult boating streaks.
Mad Dog boating streaks.
Bushwacker with streaks and LBX.
Annihilator boating MGs or RACs.
Atlas with streaks, medium lasers and LBX.
Longbow boating streaks.
Mad Cat Mk II with streaks and LBX.
Kodiak with gauss and streaks.
As you can see, I really like LBXs and streaks (especially streaks), and I am personally disappointed by their general lack of effectiveness in MWO, in which they seem far too specialized and/or lacking in punch compared to the more-pinpoint and "meta" weapons.

As best I understand it, LBX ACs currently are more the "crit seeking" weapons similar to Machine Guns... This is a highly situational set of weapons in this game and are, quite frankly, overshadowed by the far easier to use standard ACs and Lasers, which can remove armor far quicker, especially with focused alpha fire.
Hopefully this proposed "power draw" system will counteract the focused high alpha damage style meta play, though a considerably lower heat cap would also do a lot there. But PGI seem loathe to touch the heat cap system.
Streaks on the other hand... Are you referring to the IS or Clan? Just out of curiosity due to the Clans having the 2/4/6, while the IS only have the 2. The problem here is quite likely due to the imbalance between BAP/CAP and ECM. ECM is still too powerful for what it should be. It's not nearly as powerful as it used to be, but it's still too powerful and the BAP/CAP don't do enough to counter it.
People not equipping them in the first place may have to do with that, but that's purely speculation.

And if you did not have flares, a PPC bolt would leave them sparking for a moment or two to the same effect.
Later when Mektech came out with the "Bouncing Betty" style area effect flares it was nice to pop one into the ground under an entire lance to light them up on a dark map.
I miss MW4's Urbie dodge ball too. Just picture 16 jumping Urbies lobbing long tom mortar shells at each other. It was a blast!
As for my favorite two mechs.... I probably never see them in MWO.. I really really liked my Ares 60 ton Clan heavies, It could jump better than any light in MWO (heck any mech less than 75 tons could in MW4) and pop a mech at range with its 2xERPPCx and U5 every 8 seconds. My second favorite mech was the Tenchi. It was the IS counterpart to the Ares. It ran best with RAC5/Mini-Gauss and a PPCs, through in close with the cool running IS weapons, it could take on all but the heaviest clan mechs 1v1.
Maybe if PGI ever wanted too it could include some of these neat Mektek mechs as new classes of "special prototypes" mechs found among the R&D efforts of various IS and Clan factions. It would allow them to grow the Battletech universe a little and add additional flavor to the game.
Mektek Mechs Part 1
Ares goto 33 secs.
Tenchi goto 7m59 sec.

Pretty much every Inner Sphere medium mech in MW4 was just garbage and looked bad.
Mw4 did Heavy and Assualt mechs justice, but at the cost of the mediums and most Light mechs.
"Locust IIC that's interesting. Light Mech? pssh no thanks"
That Said I liked the Hellspawn and the Argus.
The Argus was the "Just good enough mech" to carry you through 50% of the game if you were shy on cash.
But, Strong enough you can do what you want with it.
The Hellspawn was one of the few valid medium mech that actually, give anything double it's size a good fight.
ECM Jump jets and enough weapons to make a Heavy mech flinch.
Plus it's sooo Ugly I love it. It really stings the pride of those Heavy pilots when they get killed by something so ugly.
I have to give it to the creators of MW4 though. Unlike previous generations of Mechwarrior They Put as MANY WEAPONS in the Game As they Possible could.
Artillery Beacon? Sure
Inferno Rockets Sure
Small Pulse X
Flamer
Clan Flamer
Beacon
Long Tom,
Etc.
