Raises hand... I take un-leveled mechs into CW all the time.
Though I can't do it now since all my mechs are mastered and I don't have enough mechbays to get more mechs. If only there was some kind of... discount...you know like a sale, to celebrate a upcoming event. Something that would let me stock up on those things in preparation for a big update. Hey we got a big update coming to CW, its the third phase of CW if I recall correctly. We could call it "Stock up for Phase 3" Has a nice ring to it and would definitely make people think of mechs and mechbay sale.

you know, new players and what you call pugs like to play CW as well, and some of us want to see how some mechs work in CW before investing time on fully leveling them, since we have just started playing and wont want to wait to go trough hundreds of chasis leveling them one by one to know how they work on CW

Stock up doesn't mean "get free items/rewards", it quite literally means "buy lots of things for when you need them later". Which is exactly what converting GXP and buying MC will do for you.

The double XP weekend is just a bonus.

The title is maybe a little vague, but it certainly doesn't promise anything. I really don't have a clue what people are complaining about (not the first time I've said that on here).

I am new to this game but not games in general. They have to do something to make a buck to make the content. This being said when I read the title of the event, I thought maybe a big bonus in cbill rewards. Now that would have helped outfitting my mech bay. As is I will have to use at least one trial mech for faction play. Just saying, tis my own opinion.

If your doing the conversion for the items consider this:

For the same amount of cbills plus all the items and consumables it would cost:

11500 MC with an extra 1600000Cbills thrown in!

and you would get to choose your own cockpit items.

If your doing the conversion for the GXP.... well thats just dumb, you will end up with so much excess GXP just by playing its a joke.

a wholle hell of a lot. i was at the Steam Launch party. there's a vid listing the changes.

It wouldn't have looked like this if they had done some kind of "Earn 1 MC for every 100 Match Score" thing at the same time on the event. I suspect a lot of people who would have been playing instead decided to stay away because there wasn't enough to cause serious interest. Heck, it might have even given PGI a last chance to "Stress Test" the servers, look for extra bugs they needed to make fixes for prior to the Tuesday (April 19) patch, and actually have them fixed early. Oh well, I guess that Common Sense got wrongfully thrown out the window somewhere.

Huh...I may actually want to log in this weekend...

It's a craptastic and pointless event, which means hopefully there will be fewer players on, fewer weekend warriors...might get some good matches.

I was going to post about how lame the event was, etc, but then I realized a non-event would likely impact gameplay more positively than a good event at this point, considering how weekends usually go.

Kudos PGI, sometimes when you mess up, you still succeed, I guess?

When it said "stock up", I figured it meant giving peeps more of a way to stock up through means involving the regular free currency. Considering it has to do with an actual game mode as opposed to things like cosmetics. Then I remembered it's PGI we're talking about here.

I get it; it's their game to work with, and they can do with it whatever they feel is right. But truth be told, as easy as it is to gain CB through regular play, it still takes a while. And PGI seems to love to urge the players on buying things with real money in whatever case allows for it.

I guess it's just a sign of the times.

Wow the music in that is lousy as hell. Who do they have making the soundtrack again?

You would think with all the money we know they're getting from these sales, they'd have hired someone with at least enough finesse to make a properly looping track that doesn't sound goofy as hell.

So I was crunching some #s because I had already been planning to buy the orion mastery bundle and possibly the blackjack bundle also... and the 20% bonus MC does now make it somewhat cheaper to get mastery bundles in-game as opposed to the usual where its cheaper via gift shop on the website. To buy them via the gift shop is $50 for the two bundles. In-Game its just 12.5k MC, which if you buy the $50MC package you get 14.4k MC out of, so you're ahead 1900MC.
