[For Whom The Bell Tolls]

Hi all, I remember when I played Battletech that there was some really funny and strong mechs I cannot play in MWO and I ask U if anyone knows if they'll be released.
The mechs are:
Caesar, 70 tons
Hollander, 35 tons
Mongoose, 25 tons
Scorpion, 55 tons
Cyclops, 90 tons

Scorpion is unlikely, because it's a quad
We will probably have Cyclops fairly soon
Can't really say anything about the rest.

New mechs are added roughly monthly. A new IS mech is going to be revealed this coming week.

The Caesar is a reversed engineered Cataphract by the Federated Suns. Captured in large numbers during the Fourth Succession War, along with the main factory, the Cataphract was used to shape the appearance and weapons load out of the Caesar.

It would look alike like a Cataphract but with thinner arms. The good thing is that it would be in line as a customized mech with its XL engine and such.



The real issue would be the variants which did not appear until much later, using equipment currently not in the game, such as a LFE.

Ceasar: as Tarl said, not enough variants in the timeline.
Hollander: same as Ceasar, not enough variants in timeline
Mongoose: could happen, lots of folks want it.
Scorpion: Quad mech, they said those weren't likely to ever happen
Cyclops: Lots of speculation that this one is the mech to be announced on the 20th.

Cyclops and Mongoose are very possible, for the Hollander and Caesar PGI would have to invent own variants, and the Scorpion is very unlikely to be included anytime soon.

I'd love to see a Hollander (more so the Hollander II), but I do think it will be unlikely.

The Mongoose was deadly in MW2 only because it was crazy fast and boated a lot of lasers. Do not think it will work in MWO given its 25 tons, but still better than a commando.

Truly dont see the point of the Hollander.. i was trying to see if a 35 tonner with IS Gauss is at all viable.. and no. its really not.

Best i could do with a 35 ton mech.. and that is NOT a good build. Too slow, not enough ammo.

In MWO its worthless for sure.... simple because we don't have RnR.... in BT with BV or Costs well the Hollander is the cheapest Gauss Rifle you can have - perfectly clad in the armor of mediocre. (something that doesn't exsist in MWO either)
last not least single heavy weapons are underpowered thanks to the massed convergence theorem
