I honestly believe that, once this is all sorted out, it's going to be pretty damn nice... I'm even looking at getting into the PUG FW, for now, and when I thought of starting up Armageddon Unlimited, again, I got a full-on chubby. This is a good beginning, I think.

Actually the cyclops does have at least one piece of new equipment... the targeting computer... supposed to have better range for you and teamates within a certain range. Donno how well they thought this through... serms exploitable if you can keep right on the edge of the radius, thus doubling the extended range...

On a positive note, now I have a reason for my favorite weight-class, the mediums ... Scouting. I quickly get tired of only playing heavies and assaults, especially with the BS tactics & strategies you've been seeing lately in CW.

The only other option I find even viable is Mercenary. I haven't yet created my own unit to test it out, but it seems that is the only other option that would prevent big penalties if I wanted to be able to play both Clan and Inner Sphere mechs in CW.
Then again it just might be me, I have come to conclusion that I am a complete moron because I only understand about 65% of what they are talking about in the novel I read this afternoon.
But from what I think I understand and then just trying to poke around in Faction Play I feel like this is a punishment to anyone who bought mechs in both factions or have commitment issues (and obviously a punishment to any large units who now have to sever an arm to stay together, glad I am not good enough to feel there pain).
Looks like they succeeded in keeping single players out of CW and turned it into an elitist club. Sadly this makes me wish I were good enough to get into one of those clubs. From my first impressions I doubt I'll every be able to participate in this aspect of the game again.
Then again I probably should give it time before I rush to judgment, but the fact that I cannot even create a drop deck right now is ridiculous. Or participate in drops, or even understand the interface. I actually sat there clicking Freelancer and wondered why nothing happened on the choose your faction/loyalty screen. LOL
I am sure it is great for most of the players, but as a mainly solo player, who has spent a significant amount of money on the game I am extremely disappointed as my first impressions are this is meant to keep me out.

Patch notes, don't mention Tonnage change, don't mention map's order change.........................
You made Clan Tonnage lower than IS tonnage when Clan are the smaller struggling to get people player base? (and most would say IS are stronger)
The interface is now more messed and difficult to navigate than pre patch,
The 12 man and 4 man share the same 1st slot for mech for dropping ? not separated ?
Numpad 0 to make me go max speed now gets cancelled by trying to type in chat let alone going into map or score tab, worse than before.

Loyalty points are lost and re earned, loyalty levels are not lost, this is already the case.
I have level 6 Jade Falcon but zero Jade Falcon LP (killed too many Falcons as FRR), when i redo the loyalty points to get to rank 10 i do not re earn the rewards from 0 to 6 - Fact, but i must regain the loyalty points.

Bugs are through the roof.
- Drop deck resetting to trials randomly
- CTD, half my team has crashed at one point.
- Loading Loading Loading, why am I loading to pull up my social tab?
- Spinning planet while waiting for CW glitches
- no map info until the final minute, which wasnt a problem until you randomised the map rotation.
Other notes:
Way to much space taken up when changing drop deck. We cant even see the the timer now.
Only one attack lane for each faction!
Still only one drop deck, this is pain for all.

There hasn't been a single solo queue "real battle" in CW all night.. at least not for Kuritan loyalists.
All of CW only gives us the option to wait 5-20 minutes to do a 4on4 scouting mission wherein half of your own team takes trial light mechs.
..not to mention the FSODs and CTDs and the drop deck resetting to 3/4 trial mechs because the scouting and real CW decks share the same space.
This is the absolutely most retardedly bad CW update that could have possibly been implemented.

This is 3051 and the weapons and 'Mechs that are supposed to be in the game are in the game. Slow your roll, fiver, and become an advocate for more maps and more depth to the game, and your weapons and 'Mechs will come up sooner than you think.
Supernova isn't and its been out years according to timeline...
