I've been running quad-UAC5 Maulers and tri-UAC5 Ebons, extensively, with nothing but group fire.

As of yet, I've never had all of the UACs jam at the same time.

Same can be said for my dial-UAC10 Highlander IIC.

That actually fits with my data; none of those 'mechs have the UAC jam reduction quirk. I tested a Dire Wolf as well and did not see them jam together at all.

I know with some programming if you add another condition to the equation multiple uacs being affected by a jam chance the way the logic runs the the variables do not always clear especially if pieces of the logic are called from other places or are under a larger hierarchy. It would be easy to say it is pgis fault, but it happens everyday.

The best thing to do is find a polite way to document it and send in the info, from multiple folks when possible.

I'll test with my JM6 too, as it also has a Jam Reduction Quirk.

Interesting. My 6xUAC5 JM6-DD does not have this problem - I was able to get individual jams, but never multiple simultaneous jams.

But the Warhawk gets multiple simultaneous jams very frequently. Very interesting indeed.

Seems to mostly be an issue with Clan UACs.

I rarely ever get all jamming at once on my mechs like the Mauler or King Crab or anything else IS I decide to strap a couple UACs on. However, with any clan mech it seems to happen.

This may mean that Clan UACs are even less effective compared to IS ones than we thought.

No, it's not a clan UAC problem. It only applies specifically to the Warhawk, not the Hunchback or Direwolf. It's not just "Hey, they both jammed! Damn!", they jam together 9 times out of 10, repeatably and testable.

Do they have to be the same type? I run a UAC-10 + UAC-20 and do not observe this in combat.

That's interesting, I got the same problem with a CTF-3D, though not as severe.

Could you repeat the experiment with just two instead of 6 on the JM6?

I noticed it happening consistently in my Ebon Jaguar but not in my Hunchback IIC. I'm wondering if its certain mechs in particular that are cursed.

The fact that everybody is reporting different responses makes me think there is no issue.

Played the dual UAC10 + PPC Warhawk for a while tonight, with the jam quirk right arm. Had a single UAC jam most often, never both at once.

with both uac10's in the same fire group? Details are important here.

there is an issue. As Zoid said, the odds of a dual jam are EXTREMELY long. To get several times more dual jams than single jams totally defies reason, and repeatably, so it's not a fluke

Possible. I haven't tried the EBJ with it but will.

yeah though it was 3, not 6, dunno how I ended up with 6 there.

Will try again with two.

it APPEARS to just be 10's, and only on certain mechs.

I've been using UAC5s in all cases that I've been mentioning.

In my 3 uac5 JM6-DD I have all three in one group and frequently see 2 of them jam but not the other one. Feels like 90% of the time I'll lose 2 in one go but I'll start counting the occurrences.

Three more matches.

When firing with both UAC10's in the same weapon group, they jammed together every single time. Going to start taking video and submit a formal bug report.

It does NOT happen when firing only one UAC10, or when firing both cannons at the same time on separate weapon groups.

why would you have both uacs in the same weapon group anyway? there in different arms, thus to my mind should be different groups.

plus man up a bit, puny uac/10's

try running 2 uac/20's with 9 tonnes of ammo and a tc1

Because I'm testing a bug? It has nothing to do with whether I run the build or not.

Yep, only ever fired from within the same weapon group, never chainfired.
